10 days ago, we were told that the banking crisis was so imminent, and so devastating, that if we didn''t give Bush''s friends this "bailout", the US economy would collapse in a matter of days.

Usually the phrase "matter of days" covers a time of less than one week.

Guess what, it has been more than a few days, and we are still here, the sun rose in the morning, and those few who still had jobs went to them, the internet was still up, Palin is still an idiot, McSame''s numbers are still falling, and *** snooze was still spewing BS.

Somebody lied yet again.

Now the Republicon-derthals are blaming Democrats for considering a bill from their own fearless leader, but still have not made public their own plan to address what even they were suckered into believing was the end of the US.

If all the Democrats get is "no Golden Parachutes for ex-CEOs", That means total victory for Bush, complete failure for Democrats.

"Congressional Leaders Hopeful Of Striking Deal Before World Markets Open"

The world market is smarter than that, They know that any "deal" put together so rapidly can only be temporary, more "lipstick on the same old pig" to use a familiar term, and they will simply use the extra little bit of time to play the last few cents out of the US market dumping a bit slower so as not to shock their own markets.

Because they have a better education than we have, they are smarter. They "kick the tires", see the underlying flaw that the same old corruption just got a temporary band-aid, and will take advantage of the extra time, but the end result is they will still dump US debt, as they see no real hope of payment.

The world markets know BS when they see it.

MAKE POLITICANS & PARTIES RETURN DONATIONS TO TAXPAYERS

The politicians are saying they hate to bail out these crooks who profited from this *** but they have to. Well, they also profited from receiving millions in donations from these crooks.

So why don''t they include in this bill that all politicians have to return any donation to the government to help offset the costs to the taxpayers that they received for the last ten years from any of these crooks.

That would include any donations they got from the corporations, officers or directors from any company that gets one penny from taxpayers, including the ones we already put money into like AIG, FRE, FME, LEH, etc.

This would also include money and inkind donations to the Dem and Rep political parties which went to benefit the politicians.

They benefited from the *** that went on that they allowed thru these donations. So now they should give that back to the taxpayers that now have to pay for their bought and paid for votes.

Anyway that money was stolen property and has to be returned

There seems to be no backing out our representation in DC form saving the Greedy, Rich, Arrogant... Oh wait that is our representation in DC. How do we teach our children that bad judgement will end up in bad outcomes - Not in DC - where the rich stand up for the rich. On CNN today they talked about the 1980s bailout of the Savings and Loans. The CEOs sold out at a loss then turned around and bought out the devalued stocks and made a temendous profit. Well this is deja vous all over again.

AND forget about writing you Congressional people, they are in on the profits at our expense and their minds are already counting the money to be made.

First, as a citizen of the U.S.A., let me unofficially apologize to you for the disrespectful and discourteous manner in which you have been treated!

But, if you follow news about America, and apparently you do, then you are also aware that the our current government is not very competent! And, this tends to be the way they treat MOST people in fact!

Your ideas were probably dismissed for two specific reasons: first, you are a non-American (foreigner)! And secondly, your ideas made too much sense! In other words, they were probably very good, and improving things is not the goal of this administration!

Once again, I''m sorry about how you were treated. And, I hope you understand that ALL Americans aren''t irresponsible, discourteous idiots---and don''t hold any grudges against those of us Americans who would be friends!! Take care.

When our **** poor, money hungry, greedy, government allows our country to collapse, there will be but one people left. The Indians. I think it will be poetic justice. Think about it. They are a self-sufficient, soveriegn nation, and they know how to take care of their people. The same greed that caused them to lose their land, is gonna give it right back to em. LOL !!!!!!

Please refer to my article under the blog http://anilselarka.wordpress.com before jumping to conclusion. I am from Hong Kong and have written a book "Sub Prime Resolved" which is in fact a Bible for recovery of United States of America. It contains everything, from creating income to spending discreetly, that the Americans and the world would like to know. I did send the proposal to President Bush which was received by them on 25 August, 2008, but since I am unknown man, it was ignored and I did not receive any reply.

Can someone explain how Congress wants to give insurance to terminal companies, while Americans can''t afford insurance?

Try getting insurance when you have a heart condition. The insurance companies either say no, or they want more money than I make.

Now, I hear the House saying terminal companies should pay insurance. If the company is terminal, that insurance should cost $10 billion every month. A company that can''t pay it''s debtors, is now being told to pay insurance.

This plan sounds like the mafia. Guess it shouldn''t surprise me that these are the same people who voted for every Bush budget.

Both political parties are owned by Wall Street. Even Warren Buffet admits the class war is on and the RICH are WINNING.

But the American sheeple just bend over and take it, once again. If this was Europe there would be mass demonstrations, tires burning, etc. That is what is needed.

Excellent. And so true! Bush and the Reps have made America and Americans WEAK! These traitors have set us up for ''the fall'' in the near future years to come!

When bad things happen, you''ll see these GOP whiners STILL trying to blame Bill Clinton for what''s going on! They''re just incredible!
