Right you got the progressive part right (until we are left with only "change" in our pockets), we are seeing that now thanks to Carter, Clinton and Dodd etc... as we bail out banks over their idotic corrupt policies. (e.g. giving loans to no down payment no good stable jobs etc...) - Reply to this comment
- All you McCain supporters I hope you have over 5 million dollar in savings because if you don''''t, get ready to get screwed royally if he gets elected.

What makes you think that only the McCain supporters are going to get screwed royally? You think the Obama supporters are going to be exempt from the royal *** that''s coming? The whole country is going to be affected, one way or the other, idiot.

- The thing that will decide this election is that Obamas economic plan gives a tax break to 95 percent of all American families.

- Why was McCain so angry last night?
He didn''t even have enough courtesy to look Obama in the eye during the debate.
I don''t want an angry old man to be my president. - Reply to this comment
- This country is in a CRISIS. I am a republican, veteran, husband, father and Christian conservative who like you all, only want what%u2019s best for this wonderful country. I look at these 2 men on stage next to each other and I can only ask myself these simple questions. Who has 21st century ideas and who will probably have the energy to endure the heavy weight/burden of holding the highest office in the land? I have MAJOR issues with Obama and I believe he is just as political as everyone else in DC. But then I think of the possibility of McCain entering the Whitehouse and I look at my two small baby girls. 10 billion a month in IRAQ, tax breaks for those who don''t need them, economic turmoil (brought on by dems & republicans), and an unqualified Palin VP pick. Who by the way believes a woman shouldn''t be entitled to an abortion even in the case of rape or incest??! I am pro-life, but I certainly think that if a woman is raped, she has the right to choose to give birth to a seed that was forced upon her. That%u2019s between her and God. There are no guarantees in life and Obama is certainly no savior. All I know is that I am tired of being worried about my country. The country I served and would still give my life for, given the cause is right, just and true. We just have got to try something different. Obama 08.

- Well if the dems get their way you can add another 700 billion to that debt...and Obama will just rubber stamp it ....because he has no clue about how the system works...I can''t even imagine actually giving the iranian president the legitimacy to sit down with... McCain had this right and he also did on kissinger....Obama was wrong now does he have the guts and maturity to admit it!!...

- Can anyone tell me why it seems the media and i mean all the media is so tilted in Obama''''s favor. It seems as if they are actially pulling for him.(And CBS is one of the worst ones).
There is a lot of guilt in the news media for letting Bush lie about getting into a war and not refuting it and saving this nation so much heartbreak.
That is my professional opinion. - Reply to this comment
- All polls taken after the debate show that Obama won the debate. Probably the fact that he wants to cut taxes for 95 percent of American families is important for many voters. Obama showed a strong command of the issues, especially how to fix the economy and how to restore confidence and respect for the United States in the world.

- McCain tried to sneak out of the debate by going to Washington. He only got in the way, but he doesn''t care because he cares only about politics. What an idiot!

- Its amazing to me that nobody noticed the fact that Obama had to look at his bracelet to see the name on it when engaging John McCain on the statement he made on his bracelet. He had no idea who he was representing... He is a figurehead and an idealogue...

- McCain has been in the senate for over 20 years, this "maverick" will not change a thing. He will compromise himself and anything to become president. Do you think Palin is truly the most qualified to be vice president, or do you think he picked her to get elected. Wakeup and see through his lies and weakness of character.

- After 20 years in the Senate, McCain has refined his skills in lying and deception. He is a sneaky, conniving, old, little, and bitter man. If America supports him, then they will get what they deserve. God help us all.

- Can anyone tell me why it seems the media and i mean all the media is so tilted in Obama''s favor. It seems as if they are actially pulling for him.(And CBS is one of the worst ones ) When it seems obvious to me and everyone I talk to that McCain has him beat on almost every issue, it takes Experience to affect change, something Obama just doesn''t have. McCain said it best....he''s naive and very dangerous for our future... actuallt saying he would attack pakistan...doesn''t he realize they are listening trust me ...pakistan as well as the rest of the world are watching.. and yet he talks about repairing the US image around the world ...well he''s certainly off to a good start...now if pakistan doesn''t trust us now.. they may never!!!... My God people...as bad as things are in the world today how can anyone think Obama''s the man for the job!!!...As for as the media is concerned I am fed up with all your liberal biased opinions.. can''t you find a way to at least seem to be fair and unbiased in your reporting.. it seems you seek out people who disagree with McCain and the majority of average americans...just to spin things in Obama''s favor...makes me sick!!!!!! I just hope and pray that your biased views doesn''t sway those undecided...of in my opinion you would have to be deaf, blind or just ignorant not to see McCain is the best man to be our president and to lead us out of this mess the democrats in congress have gotten us in to!!!

- I think this article pretty much tells it like it is. I say no clear winners or losers. Which is why it makes me mad that there was no one from a "3rd party". You might say "they don''t count because they don''t have a chance". Well no wonder. The media is to blame because they tell people that and the other reason is politics in the U.S. is like religion. If your parents were Republican, (or Democrat) then you are likely to be the same. And by the way, I''m offended at how much they say we have a Democracy. This is not a Democracy it''s a Republic, get it right.

- The voters see that John McCain can only win a debate when the lie detectors are turned off.
The same way John McCain handles confrontations in a debate, are the same ways he will run the country - he will look and his past and paint the country''s future as an extention of it.
John McCain''s arrogance about calls for change, chills the average voter by saying Americans are nieve for desiring any kind of changes.
Barack Obama showed that a lie detector didn''t have to be turned off while he is debating. Many of his most lethal statements didn''t have the hang time needed to crush John McCain, because John McCain attempted to dissolve the truth by replacing it with a folksy charming story about his life, that would make good opera, but bad politics.
It is clear that John McCain''s inability to look Barack Obama in the eye and debate was over integrity.
Voters saw that Barack Obama is president, the next 8 yesars of this country can be different from the past 8 years and better without requiring the lie detectors to be turned off.
John McCain''s charactoar flaw about exaggerating and lying will cost every citizen of this nation their retirement and first born child. - Reply to this comment
- My mind was already made up even before the debate. McCain/Palin is the "only choice" for the survival of our country. Obama will hand our country over to terrorists (after he "talks" with them).....and he takes our weapons away from us so we can''t defend ourselves. History recorded someone else like him.......Hitler !
