1. You, as an individual, will be able to buy from various sources, some of which are not even in this country. Presumably, it''s better to have these dollars in your pocket, than in some company''s or fat cat''s balance sheet.

I join as a cosponsor of the Federal Housing Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, S. 1 90, to underscore my support for quick passage of GSE regulatory reform legislation. If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system and the economy as a whole.

I urge my colleagues to support the swift action of this GSE reform legislation.
