Republican VP Nominee Defends Her Qualifications For The Job
BlameGovt,
It really wouldn''''t matter to me that you make bad decisions, except that others have to live with them. After 8 years of this thing called Bush, I thought you guys would wise up. I''''m realizing now, you lack the ability of self-reflection. Bush does something wrong, it was Clinton''''s fault. Palin does something wrong, it''''s the biased media. You guys talk about personal responsibility, but it seems the only people personally responsible for anything are the people you don''''t like.

- In an on-location-in-Alaska interview that consumed 11 or 12 minutes (video) of the Thursday edition of World News Tonight and continues later tonight on Nightline and again tomorrow on World News Tonight and 20/20, Palin recited her answers as if reading from a Teleprompter inside her head. The extensive coaching she has received could not save her from embarrassment in this exchange.

- Palin''s record shows that she''s a social conservative and a fiscal liberal. (She''s an evangelical who took $450 dollars in earmarks)
Most of the moderates that I know are the opposite fiscal conservatives, socially moderate.
I simply won''t vote for "extremists" like Palin.

David old buddy, given the wit you demonstrate above, or lack there of, I have no doubt you won''t vote for Gov. Palin, or anyone else.
Since you would have to be smart enough to find the polling place first.
LOL!!

- All the common sense libs on the site: you are wasting your time trying to debate the GOP faithful. They live not in the real world and get their thoughts from FOX News (not really news) and fat, lying, druggie Rush Limbaugh. How else can you explain them excited about MsSame and Palin? He does not answer substance questions and is an out right liar. And she, well she is what you saw in her first interview, which is an "empty skirt". I am going to love reading the posts the day after the election when they are sent back to wherever they came from and Obama/Biden are declared the winners. There is no way the GOP will win. American people (minus the GOP faithful) are too smart and has too much common sense. I would vote for Bush/Cheney before I would vote for these two nuts (and that is amazing in itself)

- McCain quote:
"I don''t know how the economy works, that''s why I''ll choose a V.P. who does"
Palin simply doesn''t fill the hole in McCain''s admitted economic bucket. - Reply to this comment
- Shooting from the hip on foreign policy, Palin raises spectre of war with Russia (Globe and Mail)
Her bellicosity toward Russia was the biggest chunk in a stew of red-meat foreign policy assertions, which included granting Israel carte blanche to attack Iran if it felt itself under existential threat from that country''s nuclear weapons program. - Reply to this comment

- Reactions to Thursday''s interviews focused on Palin''s hard-line stance on Russia''s aggression over two republics that broke away from Georgia, and her willingness to let Israel attack Iran. Palin told Gibson she had special insight into Russia because "they''re our next-door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska ... from an island in Alaska."
