McCain Says He Would Have Pressed Americans To Serve After Sept. 11, Addresses Palin Comments On Community Organizing
- The far left in the democratic party lives in a bubble where they think they can win the rural America swing states while being ok with gaay fairy tales being read in schools.
Rural American''s may or may not give a flip about what gaay''s put in their mouth but they sure as heck don''t want the schools teaching their kids that it''s ok to put it in theirs. I can''t say that I blame them. - Reply to this comment
- McCain: The economy is the major challenge.
Q: You have said that the number one issue facing the US, and that is addressing the challenge of our time is Islamist extremism. What credentials does Gov Palin have in National Security, diplomacy, foreign policy that qualified her to be your partner on that issue%u2026
McCain: Well, obviously the economy is a major challenge%u2026
Q: No, I%u2019m using your words Senator%u2026.
McCain: I said the greatest challenge of our time is national security threats and I%u2019ve also said jobs and economy is the number one issue facing America so, but the point is that Gov. Palin is right on the issues. She understands energy which is one of the fundamental issues of our security%u2026.She was right on Iraq, she was right on Russia%u2026.
Q: You say you%u2019re sure she has experience, but again I%u2019m just asking for an example. What experience does she have in the field of national experience.
McCain: Energy. She knows more about energy than probably anyone else in the United States of America..
She knows energy!%u2026 I didn%u2019t know that%u2019s all she needed to know about our national security%u2026I guess as long as she agrees with McCain, that%u2019s all the experience she needs. McCain represents four more years of BushCo. Conservatism is a failure. Look where we are. - Reply to this comment
- i wonder what the media and republicans would have said if it was obama who had a 17 year old daughter who was pregnant and had some gangster rap thug as the baby father. LOL the bloggers would have had a field day with talking about blacks and well fair babies etc but no one is giving this issue that much attention and then people have the nerve to say racism has nothing to do with it. racism can be very subtle sometimes its not what you say but what you don''''t say. sometimes its not what you do but what you don''''t do

- But, people are voting AGAINST Obama and not FOR McCain. It could have been the McCain/Daffy Duck ticket and these people would have applauded it. Oops. I hope nobody thinks I''''ve called her a duck! Gotta be careful these days.

- The person who will win will be the one that rural American''s in the swing states like and relate to. The same way it is in every presidential election and the sooner that the far left can comprehend this, the better off the democratic party will be because everytime the far left hijacks the party, we lose.

- I agree, but I don''''t think it should be a popularity contest. I''''m also afraid that some people are voting like they are watching American Idol. I do know McCain''''s camp said they didn''''t need to discuss the issues. Palin''''s interview shows she doesn''''t have a firm grasp on the issues. In the end, many people will probably not vote on the issues. But, I think this is wrong.

Your right about how it should be but the fact is that it isn''t and if the democrats lose this election it will be because the far left is too dumb to realize it and Obama was too dumb to put Clinton on the ticket. Even McCain was smarter than that which proves that you can be so smart that your stupid. I''ve seen it many times. - Reply to this comment

LOL! I think Bush and McCain have successfully used their simple-minds to dupe people into thinking they are not wealthy and elitists. The sad part is if Obama had appeared in the same fashion (simple-minded) as Bush/McCain, it would have been used as a negative against him. Either way, he can''t win. - Reply to this comment
- PALIN WAS STUNNING,,,
Palin strikes back at critics
A WEEK ago nobody had ever heard of her.
Today she is the most talked-about woman in the world. And with good reason.
Sarah Palin''s sensational performance at the Republican Party Convention may turn out to be the tipping point of this rollercoaster American election.
Obama fans hoping she would fluff her big night were in for a nasty shock.
This speech has turned the election upside down. It was simply stunning.
Democrats and their Lefty media backers had been sneering that she was a small town nobody, a hick from the Alaskan sticks put into a job way beyond an inexperienced woman.
Believe me, you will not be hearing that again.
Palin turned out to be an electrifying mix of intelligence, passion, energy, optimism and plain speaking.
Full of self-assurance and aggression, she popped Barack''s balloon big-time.

For that matter, how did Bush defeat Gore who served in the administration that had the best economy in histoy?

Conservatives hyped over Palin
Sarah Palin has done in five days what John McCain has never been able to do - fire up the Republican Party''s conservative base.
The No. 2 on the GOP ticket clearly impressed the party faithful Wednesday as she smoothly moved from lavishing praise on McCain - "a true profile in courage" who has "determination, resolve, and sheer guts" - to throwing punches at Democratic rival Barack Obama.
"Victory in Iraq is finally in sight. He wants to forfeit," Palin said in her vice presidential acceptance speech. "Government is too big. He wants to grow it. Congress spends too much. He promises more. Taxes are too high. He wants to raise them."

- Spinster2,
Although I can understand part of your posting, I think the main issue here is what is right versus what is wrong. LBJ said the Democrats have lost the South because of the Civil Rights Movement. Does that mean it was wrong to give voting rights to a good portion of American citizens? No. That means that an even bigger portion of American citizens have a lot of improving to do if they would change parties because they didn''''t want their fellow citizens to have the right to vote.

- DEMONIC-RAT MINORITIES REALLY NEED TO ASK THEMSELVES,,,
"We''ve given 90 percent of our vote to one party basically since the 60s and are we where we thought we would be by doing that?" Honeycutt told AFP, adding that as a private doctor she had become angered by all the red tape, rules and regulations she felt were holding back small businesses.
"Are our children better educated? Are our neighborhoods safer? Are we economically better off? The answer is a resounding No!"
"The reasons I chose the Republican party is because the values and principles of the Republican are similar to mine."

- The fact that a black man has half the vote currently is very encouraging. The fact McCain has only half the vote currently should be a huge insult to him, considering the huge number of Americans who wouldn''t vote for a black man under any circumstances.
My only hope is that Obama will do better in the debates. He will look younger and healthier, he will sound smarter (because he is) but he''ll have to be a perfect blend of strong and disarming. If the debates look even the slightest bit like a black man beating up an old black man, he''ll lose. If he caves under attack, he''ll lose. If he lets McCain off the hook for his lies, he''ll lose.
Biden is going to mess Palin up, but I don''t think that will matter in the end. - Reply to this comment
