So was Palin recruited to gather votes from those who prefer not to think before they leap, or is her job saving the souls of Larry Craig and the rest of those hinky-kinky Republicans?

I bet there are a number of people in the gay community because they experimented and made friends and ended up in a situation where they felt stuck. These would be the people for whom a faith-based appoach would work. They want out. How can you do anything without faith? If we don''t see the miracles, it doesn''t mean they are not there.

Regardless of what you think of Obama, Palin appears to be a treacherous and duplicitous person based on the stories coming out about her. She also does not appear to be very smart as she prefers religion to science because she does not understand the Bible was written to explain the world to simpler people more than 2,000 years ago. So she takes her simple mind and interprets it according to another group of simple-minded people who prefer magic thinking to scientific facts. And this is the person that will deal with the world if McSame croaks. She will embarrass the US worse than George did. Imagine telling the UN that she spoke in tongues and it was interpreted as Nuke ''em, so she will. Her character has nothing to do with Obama so flinging Obama comments in here is just another red herring.

It''s one thing to have an OPINION that you may not like, such as disliking some things about the US. It''s something else to have TOTALLY NUTTY beliefs, such as the "end of days" or "speaking in tongues" or that prayer is the "answer" to g_ays. If you can''t see the difference, you must be a Republican.

Do we really want to put another WHACKO in the White House??? Every time we learn something more about Palin, it''s patently obvious that she is unqualified and a total extremist unfit to be in charge of anything.

I have relatives who are of the same religion as Palin. They don''t hold down jobs. They don''t pay child support. They are in and out of jail. They steal from people. They cheat people. They move in with someone who loves them and then drains them dry and move on to the next meal ticket. They constantly talk of religion and praising and writing songs for the church. They drink heavily. They hate other races and religions, and constantly say so. None of them are gay. If this is Palin''s idea of living right, I think I might just try being gay. Sounds like I would be in better company!

Vranger---It is you who are confused.Anyone can change behavior i.e. to fit in, due to pressure,out of fear etc. BUT no one can change orientation.People are either gay, straight or bi.A gay could no more change to straight orientation than a straight could change to gay orientation.Check it out in all the stances of the APA or ABA----sexual orientation is not a choice.To argue otherwise is to display your ignorance of the accepted positions of all the academic disciplines and their respective organizations.

Palin''s Pastor, Ed Kalnins, makes Rev. Wright look like the Pope. Here is what the Rev. Kalnins has taught her and what she repeats.

She says terrorism against Jews is part of God''s plan because they refuse to accept Jesus as their savior; that the Palestinians killing Jews is part of God%u2019s plan.

She asks her congregation to "pray for the oil pipeline."

She says Alaska has a special place in God''s plan to save it during the "End Times."

She used State fund to transport kids during church outing;

She says the war in Iraq is part of "God''s plan."

She says gaye people can be converted and become straight;

She has said when the spirit moves her, she %u201Cspeaks in tongues.%u201D

She believes in %u201Cfaith healing.%u201D

These are just a few of her extreme statements.

She asked the city librarian to ban various books as not being Christian enough.

Is she a nut-job, or what?

You can find all this for yourself, just Google: Palin''s Church, Palin and the Jews, Palin and the Iraq war, etc.

"Promotes the conversion of ***? Does this church also still think the world is flat?"

You do know that there are a LOT of people who have moved from homosexual relationships to stable straight relationships, don''t you?

No, you obviously don''t. Its even happened, in the open, to famous people about whom its been front page news ... at least in the supermarkets.

These kind of ignorant remarks are not excused by the ignorance, the just underscore its presence.

What does her church think about cheating on your spouse?? Maybe she can attend a conference about that. I think folks should get their own house in order before they start trying to change other folks.

Apparently you can write the word gay, but not use the plural form g-a-y-s that CBS uses in its own title!

Promotes the conversion of ***? Does this church also still think the world is flat? And at the center of the universe? And the sun revolves around the earth? And gravity is witchcraft?

What a bunch of nutjobs!
