Not many. Science demonstrates that abstinence-only education is ineffective. - Reply to this comment

Oh yes, a government worker having an affair is bad very bad.
Maybe they should be fired for that affair.
Maybe punished for that.
Maybe Impeached for it.
Oh wait, that happened before, we were told that it was a private matter. Yea, all the major media outlets said it over and over.
"It''s a private matter."
Remember that "little" incident in the Oval Office?

The last time I knew, "abstinence" works every time. If you get pregnant, then your not using abstinence.
Not to tough to figure out. 100% foolproof.
Do condoms guarantee 100%? No they don''t.

- Undoubtedly, Sarah Palin energized The Base of her party. Oh and by the way "The Base" is the name of another radical religious terror organization---Al-Qa''ida.

- "Funny how Sarah Palin received the biggest TV audience of any VP candidate, gave a fantastic speech, and energized the base - yet the liberal media still runs nothing but negative stories about her.
That said, any church that teaches God''''s word, knows that with God all things are possible. Anything."

I refute your assertions. There were lots of positive press on Palin - but this was overshadowed by may disturbing revelations.
Not only Troopergate. Not only her lies about the Bridge / Road to Nowhere.
Not even about the tens of millions of dollars in debt she left the small town of Wasilla saddled with.
Nor of her dubious parenting skills as evidenced by he own pregnant teenager.
No, I think some of the more disturbing things about Palin is the fact that she has an uncontrollable lust for power - and her first instinct when she meets resistance is to fire whomever she doesn''t like.
She tried this with Troopergate - preferring for some reason that people appointed by the governor (herself) should lead the investigation against her.
Or that living near Russia gives her foreign policy experience (!)
Lies, lusting for power. - Reply to this comment

- " Obama''''s church does. Palin''''s church wants to help homosexuals become heterosexuals. Obama''''s church teaches "hate America." On balance, I''''ll take Palin''''s church any day."

Too much lead paint, I see.
Obama rejected the divisive teaching of his ex-preacher as you know, and withdrew his membership from that church.
Sarah Palin, meanwhile, was one of these "end of days" freaks probably yearning for the red button so Jesus can come back.
No freaking thanks! - Reply to this comment
- I''m gay, and I grew up in a pentecostal church. My grandfather, step-father, three uncles and two cousins are preachers; some in the pentecostal denomination and some in non-denomenational evangelical churches. I think most people don''t realize how similar the two congregations are. When I was young we had a pastor who exposed himself to teen age girls in the church and would often visit teen age girls after school before the parents got home to make sure they were "safe".....when it was found out what he was really up to, he was sent to pastor another church in another state (the Catholic church DOES NOT have monopoly on weirdO''s). When I got old enough I quit attending. Believe me, these "holy-spirit-filled" churches make up the most pervasive cult in our country. The unquestioning loyalty the followers have to thier leaders is frightening. The hatred that they preach is destructive. They are trying (somewhat succesfully) to take over our schools, city councils and court rooms; they will be the downfall of our democracy.

" WASILLA, Alaska (CNN) -- For more than two decades, current Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was a practicing Pentecostal.
Gov. Sarah Palin
Sarah Palin asked church members to pray for $30 billion natural gas pipeline in Alaska.
She belonged to the Wasilla Assembly of God church in her hometown of Wasilla, Alaska. But though she attended the church from her teenage years through to 2002, she hasn''t talked much about her religion since joining the Republican ticket.
Palin''s former pastor, Tim McGraw, says that like many Pentecostal churches, some members speak in tongues, although he says he''s never seen Palin do so. Church member Caroline Spangler told CNN, "When the spirit comes on you, you utter things that nobody else can understand ... only God can understand what is coming out of our mouths."
Some Pentecostals from Assembly of God also believe in "faith healing" and the "end times" -- a violent upheaval that they believe will deliver Jesus Christ''s second coming.
"Our basic belief is that God is God and he knows where history is going and he has a purposeful plan and within the middle of that plan we live in an environment in our world where certain events would take place," says McGraw. "Sarah wasn''t taught to look for one particular sign -- a cataclysmic sign. She knew as every Christian does ... that God is sovereign and he is in control."

- Isn''t it only wrong for Democrats to have affairs or be gay? Republicans don''t have to live by the same laws or commandments as the rest of us. That is why they are so superior and smug, isn''t it? It would be a lot easier to listen to them if it weren''t for the elitist attitude they shove onto the rest of us poor sinners!

- Palin has a right to worship as she sees fit. What concerns me is if her faith affects how she governs. So far, it looks as if she does. She seems to go along with the Bush idea of no separation of church and state. That is the issue and it is downright scary.

- Palin''''s church ALSO believes that "abstinence works." How well did THAT theory work for Palin''''s daughter?? Palin''''s church was proven to be WRONG on that theory. Maybe they are wrong on other "theories.........."

I imagine her church also frowns on adultry, but that didn''t seem to stop her from having an affair. The thing I find just tiresome about these Republicans is they want to tell everyone else how to be moral, but they don''t want to follow those same rules. It is sort of do as I say, not what I do. They just want to control everyone but themselves. She is no different. - Reply to this comment
- Man, there are some realy lame attempts out there to discredit Palin.

- Germanmom---Now analyze what you just posted.Do you really believe that a straight person, say you, would get stuck and stay in such a situation if they weren''t gay.Could their orientation sustain such a charade.Perhaps------many *** get "stuck" in straight relationships due to shame or societal pressures etc.You see, that knife cuts both ways but the burden on *** is far greater to live the lie.
