Palin praises...Obama?
Alaska Governor Sarah Palin -- occasionally mentioned as a McCain vice presidential prospect -- has put out a press release praising Obama''s energy plan.
Alaska energy politics seem to trump national politics here, though it''s also interesting to see a red(dish) state Republican so willing to associate herself with the Democratic nominee.
%u201CI am pleased to see Senator Obama acknowledge the huge potential Alaska%u2019s natural gas reserves represent in terms of clean energy and sound jobs,%u201D Palin says in the release. %u201CThe steps taken by the Alaska State Legislature this past week demonstrate that we are ready, willing and able to supply the energy our nation needs.%u201D
More:
Governor Palin also acknowledged the Senator%u2019s proposal to offer $1,000 rebates to those struggling with the high cost of energy.
%u201CWe in Alaska feel that crunch and are taking steps to address it right here at home,%u201D Governor Palin said. %u201CThis is a tool that must be on the table to buy us time until our long-term energy plans can be put into place. We have already enjoyed the support of Alaska Senator Ted Stevens, and it is gratifying to see Senator Obama get on board.%u201D
She was for it, before she was against it. - Reply to this comment

- How do we get rid of the total bias? Articles and comments are either all conservative or all liberal, or maybe criticizing either. It is so difficult to find information that is indeed factual or accurate, much less believable. So Boortz must be correct - the next president will be elected by those who watch American Idol, the group that will not take the time to do research and gather information.

- LOL. All is not lost. He could have his lovely wife Michelle join him and make it 101! They have kept his American hating wife under wraps for quite awhile. I think she needs more exposure.

Gee, I wonder why they''re not parading drug dealing Cindy out in public. Maybe it''s so she won''t make any more stupid statements about Palin having foreigh policy experience because she lives close to Russia. - Reply to this comment

- The Democrats have the facts on their side.
So, in order to level the playing field, the press lets the Republicans get away with lying. - Reply to this comment

- How can you call this beautiful, educated, articulate woman a PIG when she is such a breath of fresh air. I was not voting this year because I have been so sick of the same ole status quo, but when I heard her speak I actually got excited as well as others around me have. YOU GO GIRL , GOV PALIN
----------------------
My God! Is there any one of you out there with an original thought? If I hear about Sarah Palin being a "breath of fresh air" again, I think I''ll hurl. I will admit, and wholeheartedly agree, that the air has been pretty foul for quite some time; but give it a rest already! - Reply to this comment
- "...you can''t just make stuff up."
If the Republicans can''t make stuff up, they won''t have anything to say. It would bwe a very one sided campagin. This is why the press lets them get away with it. - Reply to this comment

Enjoy the view for now. Sarah "6 colleges plus 6 years equals one journalism degree" Palin has already shown how well she''ll fall in line, play Hypocrite and pander for the Hypocrite vote. No breath of fresh air at all, just lipstick on an old sow. - Reply to this comment
- Posted by bjrober: I wouldn''''t vote for a democrat again if they paid me. When Clinton was in office I was getting alarge amount of money at that my husband had paid in for almost 20 years called SBP, when I reached the age of 62 Clinton cut it almost in half because I was drawing SS, then a few years later thanks to Lindsey Graham of SC where I am from, he got it restored and now I am making about what I was making when Clinton took it from me and other widows.
----------------
Hate to tell you, but the rules for SBP were in place before Clinton took office. Sounds to me like you''re looking for an excuse to justify voting Republican. - Reply to this comment

Well, I am happy to hear that ''''ol Joe was able to appear on Meet the Press. I''''m also happy to hear that after 35 years he can make sense of the issues and has learned something.
Sarah Palin has been with the campaign for less than 2 weeks and is still Governor of Alaska. She is having to adjust her schedule to accommodate the campaign and governorship.
I''''m sure she will smoke ''''ol Joe in another week or so. Be patient.

Ole Joe Biden has been making bad decisions for 20 years. I think this girl will make a fool of him. She is quick thinker, energenic and knows what she is talking about. I have never agreed with Rush Limbaugh, but he did make one statement I agree with and that is Sarah Palin is a breath of fresh air this country has needed for many years and will be around a long time. - Reply to this comment
