Of course. How does John get the Hypocrites to vote for him if he doesn''t act like one of them? - Reply to this comment
- The Democrats have now controlled Congress for over 2 years. With each passing day, it is obvious that the Democrats are doing no better than the Republicans in Congress. Just look at their approval ratings. McCain, as a republican, shares the values and philosophy of many other Republicans. Otherwise, McCain would be a Democrat. Likewise, If Obama voted like a Republican, he wouldn''''''''t be a Democtat. It appears that half of the American people share the values and philosopy of the Democrats and half of the Americamn people share the values and philosophy of the Republicans. At this point, neither candidate seems to have a mandate by the American people. If you win by a small magrgin, you win, but not with a mandate from the people.

When it takes 60 votes in the Senate to do just about anything 51 votes is a bare majority and short of really controlling the Senate. - Reply to this comment
- High rish pick only defines his stupidty. This is an insult to the American voters, this transparent attempt of his. He can never again bring up experience as an attack upon Obama, choosing a junior governor and picking her for the second most important job in this country.

Why is it that McCain feels the needs to define himself as a Maverick? Is he trying to distance himself from Bush? If so, why did he vote with Bush 90 percent of the time; that is not a maverick, that is nearly a carbon copy.

- obviously mccain thinks he will get the hillary voters with this choice for VP. He really is not giving women much credit, we are not that stupid or gullible. Her ultra christian views are extremely frightening and probably more extreme than bush''''s. we have had eight years of this love affair with the christian right, we need to come back to the middle.

She''s not a substitute for Hillary...she''s conservative but she does share some qualities with Hillary...she also couldn''t care less what the good ol'' boys in Washington think or like about having a woman at the same table, kicking feet off table tops, and smirking about where a woman''s place is...both are bonafide ba11busters. Palin already has more experience than Obama...hands down! She works, just like Michelle, and according to the Obamas...''so long as you''re there to tuck them in at night the kids don''t really care where we''ve been all day''. Not much you can throw at her that won''t come back to splatter all over the Obamas....and frankly...McCain only finished what Obama didn''t have the ba11s to do....Hillary should have been his VP pick and Hillary supporters know it. This campaign just got interesting...finally. I hated the way Hillary was treated and think this is just poetic justice!!!! - Reply to this comment
- If the "conspiracy theorists" are right about weather modification - Someone arranged the hurricane to PREVENT that millstone from attending and reminding the "base" of his record.
It''s funny as all get out that THEIR candidate has to DENY and trash THEIR party''s President.
McCain: "Look I might be part of the SAME POLITICAL MACHINE but I''m NOT the SAME GEAR in it!"

- Sounds like a good way to hand over schools to his private corporate buddies by making it impossible for them to succeed. Much like defunding FDR''''s social programs that have worked for 70 years then claiming they do not work when you have intentionally bankrupted them.

Why does he need paid posters when he can motivate so many volunteers and attendees to campaign events -- I''m joining soon too. - Reply to this comment

- Do not forget Phil Gramm, McCains top economic advisor calling anyone who thinks the economy is not up to snuff a "whiner".

Oh! So THAT''S what Sarah Palin meant when she said that "Hillary''s whining really turned me off."
GOT IT!

- What a break for McCain!!
Bush can''t come to the GOP convention.
Though I''m sure McCain was looking for a reason - ANY REASON - for him NOT to come.
It''s too late though - the ironclad association is already part of the voting record. - Reply to this comment
- McCain has let down America with his pick of Palin. No way, do I want her near the Oval Office. Her extreme religious affiliation (Assembly of God) terrifies me. How dare McCain pick such a person when he is so old. Anything could happen to him and we''d have a religious fanatic at the nuclear switch!!!
