My liberal sister in law just told my wife she was voting Republican since Palin is on the ticket. Never thought I would ever see this. This will probably bring most of Hillary women over.
Palin is a very smart women.

It was a VERY smart move by McCain to choose her for the ticket compared to what he had left to choose from. It will draw some Hillary supporters away from OBAMA. How many, remains to be seen. I don''t know much about her but I plan to.

Obama becomes the first African American as Presidential Candidate.

Palin becomes the first Woman Vice President.

StLouisMan3,

Obama''s great plans cost less than what we''ve been spending in Iraq, so they''re already paid for once we withdraw and take care of our own country.

He could always do like Reagan and promise to grow the economy to pay for his spending.

Insuring the 40 million Americans without health insurance will create a boom in healthcare jobs that will grow the economy. Creating more teaching jobs will also grow the economy and is needed as the school age population booms. Investing in alternative enrgy will creat entire new industries and the related jobs. By their very nature, these jobs will not lend themselves to outsourcing.

More permanent good paying jobs means less people on unemployment, food stamps, housng assistance, and the other forms of government assistance that Republicans love o *** about but do nothing to eliminate.

More jobs also means more people paying taxes which means spreading the burden so that everyone in the middle class can pay less.

How is Obama planning to pay for all his grand plans?

Posted by StLouisMan3 at 10:42 AM : Aug 29, 2008

Didn''t listen to the speech?
He mentioned GETTING RID of all those Lobbyist generated "SPECIAL CORPORATE INTEREST" LOOPHOLES that are systemic in our tax system.

We''ll see. Bureaucracy and Billionaires seem to have ENTRENCHED themselves and I suspect it''ll take decades to sort out the FRAT party giveaway spree Bush''s K Street CRONY bunch allowed.

How''s Jack Abramoff and Tom Delay doing these days?

I suspect there WILL NOT be a female on the McCain ticket.
He DOESN''''T respect them beyond USING them. Polite is NOT real respect.
Sheesh even with all that money he calls his second wife names and nominates her for "cow chip queen" at the Biker Party in Sturgis.

I agree with your assessment of his disdain for women, but this phoney will use any tactic to get elected. He''ll prostitute Cindy to win.

Sounds like a plan to me! Who do you think McCain will pick as his running mate? I believe it will be Sarah Palin from Alaska. It will be an effort to draw some former Hillary supporters over to his side. It''''s the only choice that makes sense to me. The losers on his ''''short list'''' are tied too closely to DUMBYA. It would mean no real change from Mr. DISASTER''''S administration.

I agree with you. I don''t know much about her, but coming from the land of senator Stevens, she''s probably got her fingers in Alaska''s cookie jar.

Reagan Tax Cut
Republican Tax cuts results

National debt before Reagan tax Cut $900 Billion
National debt after Reagan Tax Cut $4.5 trillion

Bush tax cuts

National debt before Bush tax cuts $5 trillion
National debt after Bush tax cuts $10 trillion

Mccain/bush tax cuts will add $3 trillion to the national debt according to one Mccain economic adviser. Mccain says he does not know much about economics.

Republicans the party of borrow and spend
and dam the debt, full speed ahead
We can''t survive four more years of "trickle down" economics; it''s never worked and it never will.

Mccain who claims to support our Troops and Veterans has voted against them in any bill that would increase their healthcare or their benefits. He should be ashamed to call himself a veteran. He has voted 90% of the time with bush and agaist our Military. Our Military is the best and the bravest we have and they certainly have earned more thean having their leaders turn their backs on them. Obmama and Biden have voted in favor of our Veterans and Troops 100%. OBAMA/BIDEN 08 the only logical choice to really support our Military Folks.
