Obama is the better choice, but he''s getting a little carried away with all the things he says he is going to do. He''s going to have his hands full just trying to clean up the mess that will be left behind. Bill Clinton was saying that Obama is going to fix education, healthcare etc. The list was very LONG. He will be lucky if he is able to even fix ONE thing. And it''s a little hard to do any of these things with NO money.

JonGood54,

If you are black, I am ashamed of you. Did you see your buddy Jesse Jackson on TV last night. You two belong together, in the losers corner. Jealousy will get you where it got him, on the sidelines looking stupid.

The negro with the over-sized ego just had his baloon popped. Back to the ghetto of chicago with your race-baiting politics. Hillary has absolutely no obligation to come to your rescue now.

LMAO

The quantity of racist hate-mongering posts on this site in response to Obama''''s speech are a testament to the the desperation of the dark forces that have always been allied with the Bush/Cheney/McCainj regime.

You are right.

It is sad and shocking that these racist trolls exist in 21st Century America.

All the more reason to keep marching.

No quarter.

Get ready. Here we come.

Now begins the slow and steady march to getting our country back.

Thank you, Barack Obama.

The steadiest man under fire since Kennedy.

Thank you.

The vice-Presidential debates should be interesting. If Biden is too tough on her, she''''ll get the sympathy vote and if he''''s too easy on her he''''ll look weak. In order for him to win, she has to s-crew up badly or be made to look incompetent. Let''''s see what happens.

Lefty: I googled this gal, she has a very impressive resume. If she were at the top of the ticket instead of McBush, we would have real problems. Use Wikipedia and find out a little more yourself. The only possible nick in her armor is that her husband works for BP; that needs to be explored.

Citizens of Rome! All Hail Obama!
Resolute and Mighty!
Lay Waste the Tiny Persian Hordes
With sweet Words of Aphrodite!

Proud Olympian Son of Barak!
Brother of George the Lesser!
Let no man stand before You;
No one, Your Confessor!

Summon Hemera, Queen of light!
Favonius, God of Air!
Let Their Power grace the masses,
Across this oil-rich Land so fare!

Pry loose the Hands of All the Greedy,
Their casks of Gold and Silver!
Shower Your Servants, reduced and needy,
With same casks of Gold and Silver!

Eileithyia Goddess of birth, Be Gone!
And Hera follow suit!
Decree Your meaning of "Life", Obama,
That no Judge will refute!

From His Temple at Invesco,
Let Zephyrus never tire
Of carrying His message on the Winds
That sweep across His Empire:

"Change! Hope! Change and Hope!"
Now, "Hope and Change" together!
And when these words have run their course,
He will say and do (whatever)

Speaking as a Conservative who would have favored Mitt Romney for the V.P. slot, I think this is a brilliant game changing (for the better) pick.

Hats off to McCain; this was a good decision on his part. Still don''t want him as president though, but this will make the race a lot closer. Congrats to all of you right wing nutso''s; let the games begin!

Yep, use a woman and MAYBE it''ll HIDE the slime.

That way Alito can have a few clones to populate the Supreme court and turn the clock back to 1908.

Oh well we Didn''t need those property rights taken away from the owners to "benefit" corporate America and All education should be "private" right?

Palin!! let Obama and his minions say she is not qualified, with no experience. She has run a state and Obama has run nothing ( but he has run very hard for office).

It will be very hard for Biden to come on strong with a woman as his opponent. Remember what happened to Lazio with Hillary Clinton.

Ed Lasky comments:

She ran a busines succesfully; she has run a state succesfully; she can play up the energy issue and become the czar.

She even has a kind of national security credibilty, governing next to Russia.

Otis Glazebrook comments:

It looks as though John McCain is going to capitalize on Obama%u2019s colossal mistake of picking Joe Biden over Hillary for his V. P. slot; by picking Sarah Palin the Governor of Alaska.

Speaking as a Conservative who would have favored Mitt Romney for the V.P. slot, I think this is a brilliant game changing (for the better) pick.
