When Senator McCain finally consented to actually listen to the Senator Obama, the Generals, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Secretary of Defense and even President Bush he changed his position and agreed that more troops were needed in Afghanistan.

John McCain dishonored himself when he flat out lied about Obama''s trip to Germany and the reason he did not get to visit the injured troops there.
He not only dishonored himself, but he dishonored all troops and military veterans by his willingness to drag them into the middle of a fabricated storyline for the sole purpose of making a cheap political score.

This business of flat out lying to the nation in his lust for power, follows the example set by his buddies George w. Bush/ D. Cheney and Karl Rove and it demonstrates an extreme disregard and disrespect to all Americans.
