Put these two in front of a mixed audience, ask them relevant questions and it would be a different story.

Agreed. Stick Obama and McSame in front of a bunch of neocons and what else could you possibly expect? The religious right is what has brought this country into war and destroyed our economy and American influence. Want 4 more disastrous years? Vote religion & war pusher McSame!

The base he was born on was American soil, and BOTH his parents were Americans serving their country at the time!

Sorry, but passport''''s don''''t prove nuthin! Where''''s the dang birth certificate!

Actually it does. When proof of citizenship is required your normally ask to precedent either a Passport or birth certificate. A passport is a document, issued by a national government, which certifies, for the purpose of international travel, the identity and nationality of its holder. The elements of identity are name, date of birth, ***, and place of birth. In order to get a Passport you need to provide proof of citizenship (birth certificate).

Exactly who do you think is supposed to be paying your bills?

I pay my own bills, M. Hell. And judging from the time some people spend on this board, I probably pay a few of theirs, too.

The GOP tax policies, which favor the wealthy, do not favor middle class taxpayers like me.

The McCain war machine, dumping close to a trillion dollars in Iraq, doesn''t help my bottom line -- or yours.

The McCain energy (non) policy doesn''t help us get free of Arab oil.

ETC.

About the best thing he''s said was his answers on "moral failings."

I think both candidates were sincere on these answers.

To broadwayphi who posted: ""Faith" and "Belief" allow that the object thereof isn''''t true or even doesn''''t exist at all.

Which isn''''t bad if just applied as a passing
thought and kept to oneself in continuing to
do something constructive and meaninful.

"Faith" and "Belief", as you say, might be totaly misplaced and wrong and just might lead to false conclusions, but in the words of Aaron Tippin''s song: You''ve Got to Stand for Something, which warned that if one doesn''t stand for something one will probably fall for anything....

"I know that things are different
than they were in daddy''s day,
but I still believe what makes a man
really hasn''t changed.

He''d say you''ve got to stand for something
or you''ll fall for anything.
You''ve got to be your own man not a
puppet on a string.
Never compromise what''s right
and uphold your family name.
You''ve got to stand for something
or you''ll fall for anything."

If you weren''t taught it by your parents or your: (INSERT FORMATIVE GOV/PRIVATE/RELIGOUS ORGANIZATION HERE), Learn the difference between right and wrong. Avoid the "maybe" and the "sometimes". Make good decisions. ''Nuff said.

Watching Obama go into that forum last night was like watching one of those teenage slice and dice movies where the kid knows the killer is lurking about but goes into the dark room anyway. There was no way that Obama was going to come out in one piece. Clearly this was set up to focus on abortion and McCain''s answer was out before the question was finished. The audience, hand picked or not, was clearly a fundamentalist republican audience and even they played their part well. Had Obama refused to participate in this sham he would have been condemned and by agreeing was simply led to the slaughter. McCains answers were just to quick and it was obvious that he knew exactly where the interview was going. His constant use of "stories" was done to convince people of his vast experiance. And why no lapel flag pin? To me, the whole thing was a farce and was done by a bunch of bullies to advance their agenda and their candidate. I''ll bet anything you can name that Obama wouldn''t get 20 votes out of that whole audience. What a waste of time. Put these two in front of a mixed audience, ask them relevant questions and it would be a different story.
