Ariz. Senator Phones Georgia's President; Obama Calls For "Action, Not Just Words" From Russia
- That someone would even think about something like this shows how little we trust our political system under the neocons. And, if true, another stain on the on the fabric of non-intervention. Many innocent people killed and their homes and lives in tatters.
History will tell.

"Georgia War a Neocon Election Ploy?" -- Is it possible that this time the October surprise was tried in August, and that the garbage issue of brave little Georgia struggling for its survival from the grasp of the Russian bear was stoked to influence the U.S. presidential election? - Reply to this comment

- Too bad McSame did not say -
"Today, We are all Iraqis" when there country was illegally invaded and occupied by a foreign power.
"that the thoughts, prayers and support of the American people are with that great little nation as it struggles today" for independence" only applies if the USA happens to like you on that day;
Otherwise it''s "Rigimne Change", the politically correct way of doing exactly what the Russians are now doing in Georgia, and what the US did in Iraq. - Reply to this comment
- Tell you what, "WellHell," or whoever you are. You run over there to Georgia and kill a few Russians and find out what happens to you. Russians shoot back.

- Speak for yourself, McCain. I personally didn''t have anything to do with the 2-day sniper attack from Georgia, followed by an all-night mortar and missle attack that killed 78 Russian peacekeepers and scores of civilians in a brutal attempt to force S. Ossetia into the political dominance of Tbilisi.

- I find it hilarious everyone crying that McCain doesn''t speak for them!
And yet when Obscamma went to Europe, trashed your country, then made an idiot appeal to Europe for help you all applauded like it was the second coming of Christ!

- Go John McCain! We need a strong leader in the White House, not some wussie! It''s our job to stand up for our allies!

- It''s all really confusing...Did the Georgians attack indescrimanately at first or not? Or, was it some how orchestrated from Russia and they are now seazing a once Russian bloc country to show the world that they are still a powerhouse.
If the Georgians did attack in such a way, bravo to the Russians for standing by their citizens. Otherwise, the Russians are on the move again... - Reply to this comment
- Let''s see, We have a break away province of Georgia that wants to be independent. That province has close ties with Russia, even honors their currency. Georgia invades said province; Russia retaliates, first in defence, then as punishment. Georgia started the agression, gets their collective butts kicked by the true neighborhood bully, then cries uncle. Sorry, McCain, they got what was coming and you DO NOT speak for me. We might have good relations with Georgia, but we should not step into this one one bit, other than to try to resolve the conflict through diplomacy. Again, I AM NOT a Georgian McCain, and you are NOT the president of this country, and God help us all if you ever become our leader. You''re as scary as Bush, and that''s saying something.
