- Here is another republican that charged with breaking laws. If proven guilty Sen. Ted Stevens fits right in with the theme of the Bush Adminstration, which is self first, public last.
Politicans often say the American voter is smart and will get it right. The voters of Alaska apparently did not get it right this time. Of course Sen Stevens delivered quite a bit to them, including a bridge to nowhere. It baffles me on how voters send back to office the same person over and over again. Alaska voters sent Stevens back to the Senate for 40 yrs. - Reply to this comment
- Has anyone ever seen this guy speak? He has got to be the dumbest person ever elected to the Senate.

- When you walk down the street and listen to people you really understand, especially in area''s outside the fascist south, just how bad it is for the Republican Party. I guess that''s why McSame can''t stick to one story or one position. He has to try and appease his Fascist Base and at the same time appear to NOT be a Repig! It''s a task that will result in defeat in November for McSame but it is truly a death wish for the Republican Party as a whole. When you made deals with the Devil there is always a price to pay. That price for the Republican Party could be VERY steep indeed. If you are going to be the Party of "Family Values" then you can''t afford Toe Tappers like Craig or Stevens. Sieg Heil Bush

- "As a purely legal matter, Stevens may continue to serve in the Senate even while he defends himself against the charges," Cohen adds. "But these types of false statement trials take up an extraordinary amount of time and energy, not to mention money, and it''s hard to see how he play both roles, Senator and Defendant, successfully."
Simple Republican ethics, use the illegal money to defend himself from the charges of illegal gains.... - Reply to this comment
