I think too many people put faith in the hate-bush/Iraq theory than it deserves. It''''''''s true that a high percentage were against Iraq after it started taking too long, but the surge is offsetting the frustration that turned those people in the first place. So don''''''''t be to confident just yet about a Obama victory in the fall, their are alot people that are remaining silent, most likely a majority.

You must be one of the 28%, good job....Repeat after me, Bush is a god!!!!!!

Your overconfidance is very funny. A poll reflecting Bush''s popularity or even one for Iraq will not reflect on this campaign as much as you would like. The "silent majority" doesn''t even come to this site, but I know that I share a similar belief with many people from all walk''s of life. The Bush-hate mentality does exist but common sense people will rid themselves of that when they enter the voting booth and pick who they will be most comfortable with. Barack''s a star, but even those can fall.

Of course it was the pentagon that stopped him from visiting the soldiers but you predisposition to hate Obama stopped you from listening to the facts. Viva la Bush!!!! Posted by omega39 at 09:10 PM : Jul 27, 2008

I have heard a different version, the Pentagon objected to Barack''s ontourage. I suspect that it would have been the right thing to do to leave them at their hotels for a little while, after all the gush-fest doesn''t have to be never-ending does it? Barack was offered the chance to visit the troops minus his, the pop-star extravaganza following his every move. Wouldn''t that be great to be injured in a hospital and have this sort of thing moving through. A quietor approach was warranted and Barack did not take that. Maybe he could go back now that the first run is through and not make it about himself? How come other Senator''s get to visit that aren''t running for President, you''re info is wrong purely based on that fact. Obama should have put on his Senator hat for awhile.

think that since Barack had wowed the non-voting crowds in Europe that he could have put aside his campaigning for a brief visit to our wounded soldiers.

Repugnacan critics of Obama said he didn''''t have experience with foreign governments, but now that he has gone WAY beyond what Bush ever did, they whine, ''''Oh, he''''s more concerned with foreigners than americans''''. What idiot dolts. Just shows what elected Bush in first place. How do these jugheads even survive in the world? Certainly the gene pool would be better served without them.

Obscamma went on a campaign tour! Big deal!

What did he think that was gonna do? Make him more qualified by taking some pictures and having a free rock concert, and talking to some heads of state for an hour?

What exactly was HIS POINT?

Barack''s trip probably did hurt him more in middle american than you believe. Since Europe does the same thing for our "Hollywood Elite", it alianated a large voting block who shrugs off Hollywood make believe for real life issues and those people that voted for Bush were in the majority. I think too many people put faith in the hate-bush/Iraq theory than it deserves. -Why did Obama cancel a trip to visit wounded at a military hospital in order to play basketball?

Campaigning on federal property is against federal law.

I think that since Barack had wowed the non-voting crowds in Europe that he could have put aside his campaigning for a brief visit to our wounded soldiers. Breaking from the itinerary of fawning would have looked good on Obama. After all, he was allowed to go visit, just not with the massive media following, they simply asked for no campaigning there and like a cigarette in couldn''t put it down. It''s sad that he didn''t want to see the faces of our soldiers only those from the free rock concert''s in Germany. A very poor move, and reasoning that it would have looked too much like a campaign side-show is ridiculous since the whole European tour was a well presented stage show. I think that he missed a fabulous opportunity to show the american people that his trip wasn''t just about his bid for President, but an opportunity to visit our brave men and woman who deserved his attention more.

Q. What is the difference between an eagle and John McCain?

A. An eagle breaks ground and flies into the wind.
John McCain breaks wind and flies into the ground.

''Dolph buddy. Is that really you? They told us you shot yourself and then you and Eva were burned by your subordinates. Hey, anyway, we owe you guys a lot, what with all the advanced propaganda techniques and all. Thanks for helping us republicans stay in power for the last 8 years but as you know, all good things must come to an end.

Sincerely,
Karl Rove

HE IS NOT QUALIFIED TO LEAD, he can barely formulate sentences on his own! HE IS A LOSER.

John McCain''s family have nursed at the government teat for over 70 years... 3 generations. Being a glorified welfare recipient does not qualify this man to be president.

I preached in my day that NOW is the time for CHANGE. NOW is the time to BELIEVE in our cause. Yes WE can through my election! Now Barack Obama is preaching the same message 70 years later! I am proud to have the audacity to have hope without truth in voting for him!
