- By the way, I still think it''''s hilarious that Obscamme tried to shill the American public that 200,000 German teeny boppers came out in support of his campaign when he hired not TWO, but THREE rock stars to give a FREE concert!
Your campaign dollars AT WORK, scamming the American public!

What rock stars Rowdy?
Do reggae artist "Patrice", and rock band "Reamonn", really classify as "rock stars"?

- WellHell3,
Since you want to continue to argue about Obama''s canceled stop at a military hospital, check out this from CNN about McCain:
"With Department of Defense rules prohibiting political campaigning on military bases, it was determined that in some cases McCain could visit the installations as a senator but could not engage in any political activity.."
McCain campaign officials said Thursday they intentionally did not campaign on military property.
"We follow the rules," said senior McCain adviser Steve Schmidt."
Obama canceled his visit because the trip to Germany was paid by his campaign, and the Pentagon told his advisers that it would be considered a political event, and therefore is prohibited! You might not like it, but those are the rules! If Obama said to hell with it , I''m going anyway, you''d be the first to complain that he was breaking the rules! - Reply to this comment
- Are you talking about his visit to Afghanistan, and Iraq? If so come on, are you serious?! If you%u2019ve seen a tv spot with a Soldier in uniform in it, 10 times out of ten it didn%u2019t end with the Candidate approving it.

- additional info from that same article, regarding soldiers free speech rights:
"What happens if a soldier publishes an article that fails to comply with operations-security policies? He''ll most likely be punished for disregarding an order under Article 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. If the writer is a commissioned officer, and his article is especially hard on the president, vice president, secretary of defense, or another government executive, then he might be accused of using "contemptuous words" against an official and charged under Article 88. Either way, there''s a good chance the outspoken serviceman will face a court-martial." - Reply to this comment
- And last I heard a citizen of the United States, including a soldier has the right to speak their mind at any time, just like I do.
Posted by WellHell3
Actually, that is not exactly true! This is from an article on that subject from Slate :
"Are Army personnel free to publicize their opinions?
Yes, as long as they clear a security review. According to Army regulations (PDF), soldiers must consult with their immediate supervisor and their operations-security officer before disseminating articles, Web-site postings, or other statements in a public forum." - Reply to this comment
- WellHell3.....Yes a member of the Armed Services has Constitutional rights just like any American, but we have stricter ethics that we must abide by. Have you ever seen A Soldier in uniform in any of the candidates tv adds? Let me answer that for you; NO! We can participate in any campaign event we want to, just as long as we attend it in civilian attire, and not use our military titles when expressing opinions of the US Government.

- Over enthusiasm from the point of righteous political interests without extending support for troops by not visiting them is a direct insult to America. Obama is not ready to lead, not ready to change, not ready to be a commander, he is only ready to toot his own horn. That is not "Service to Americans" that is AUDACITY.

He was asked by the Pentagon NOT to visit the troops!
Obama did visit our troops in both Afghanistan and Iraq, as part of a delegation with 2 other U.S. Senators (one Democrat and one Republican). That part of the trip was considered an official Senate visit. The European part of the trip is being paid for by his campaign, and the Pentagon told him it would be inappropriate for him to visit the troops as part of a campaign stop! He followed the Pentagon''s wishes! If he went anyway, even after being asked by the Pentagon not to, then that would have been a sign of AUDACITY! If you don''t want to vote for Obama , fine, that is your right, but you are making much ado about nothing! - Reply to this comment
- CPT Jeffrey S. Porter,
I am a Active duty Military Officer who has served in both Iraq, and Afghanistan on numerous occasions. The reason I%u2019m replying to your post is that you have blatantly disobeyed an direct order by participating in a election campaign, directly, or indirectly, while in a military environment. You did so by placing your signature block at the end of your posting. You not only disrespected a member of congress, but you also disrespected the US Army. If you felt that this blog needed to know YOUR opinion of Sen. Obama, you should have left yourself anonymous. I surely hope you didn%u2019t jeopardize your career by this mistake, because all it take is for someone to look you up on AKO white pages to find out who your COC is. - Reply to this comment

"He ventured forth to bring light to the world"
"The anointed one''s pilgrimage to the Holy Land is a miracle in action - and a blessing to all his faithful followers"
by Gerard Baker
"And it came to pass, in the eighth year of the reign of the evil Bush the Younger (The Ignorant), when the whole land from the Arabian desert to the shores of the Great Lakes had been laid barren, that a Child appeared in the wilderness.
The Child was blessed in looks and intellect. Scion of a simple family, offspring of a miraculous union, grandson of a typical white person and an African peasant. And yea, as he grew, the Child walked in the path of righteousness, with only the occasional detour into the odd weed and a little blow."

- The U.S. Senate soon could debate whether you, your spouse and each of your children %u2013 as well as your in-laws, parents, grandparents, neighbors and everyone else in America %u2013 each will spend $2,500 or more to reduce poverty around the world.
The plan sponsored by Sen. Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, is estimated to cost the U.S. some $845 billion over the coming few years in an effort to raise the standard of living around the globe.
Barack Obama
S.2433 already has been approved in one form by the U.S. House of Representatives and now has been placed on the Senate Legislative Calendar for pending debate.
WND previously reported the proposal demands the president develop "and implement" a policy to "cut extreme global poverty in half by 2015 through aid, trade, debt relief" and other programs.
Cliff Kincaid at Accuracy in Media has published a critique asserting that while the Global Poverty Act sounds nice, the adoption could "result in the imposition of a global tax on the United States" and would make levels of U.S. foreign aid spending "subservient to the dictates of the United Nations." - Reply to this comment

Thanks for your Post. Not making excuses for Sen. Obama but his Secret Service security detail was just increased to 8! Things are not always as they appear, we don''t know what his security instructions are or were on that trip. I have seen video of Sen. Obama engaged with our troops up close and personal. It was probably time issues, security issues, who knows, but the cameras were rolling and I''m sure Sen. Obama didn''t diss you for no good reason. - Reply to this comment

- (AP) Democrat Barack Obama said Friday that Iran should promptly accept an international call to freeze its uranium enrichment program, which some nations see as a potential step toward obtaining nuclear weapons.
If Condi Rice had said this, AP would have changed ''some nations'' to ''the Bush administration''. Losers to the very end. - Reply to this comment
