Thankfully it doesn''''t hold as much "importance" as a certain other race.

I just realized how bad that sounds, lol. But hopefully my point wasn''t too arrogant to be understood.

Hey OBF,

That''s outstanding news about Brian! Is he comfortable at home? I know (though not firsthand) how difficult it can be to get back home after waiting so long and then realizing how different it is from the hospital''s "schedules."

As far as the MLB, there''s always next year. Thankfully it doesn''t hold as much "importance" as a certain other race. But I''m just glad he''s able to be upset about it.

Again, send my love and thoughts. He''s a true hero.

Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible
to pick up a t/urd by the clean end.''

Obama never said "I know how to win wars."

Also, both Bush and McCain seem to adopt Obama''''s policies at an alarming rate.

Just sayin

Hey jtyler, just got on and am still catching up from a few pages ago.

You make an absolutely excellent point, but following the Bush pattern from the past 8 years, neither the Bush or McCain people seem to be able to admit when they are wrong. Too bad, so sad.

BTW, nephew Brian is HOME and doing very well.--16 y.o. and 2nd heart transplant. Thanks for your concern!!! I don''t think his favorite for the MLB team got in, but thanks to all who voted.

The Taliban were hiding and supplying Mr. Bin Laden. The Taliban were providing training and housing to the terrorist camps where the hi-jackers were based. The only place that the terrorists weren''''t, was in Iraq.

How soon they forget. At least when it suits their purposes. Sad

"Sounds like the Bush adminstration is talking about a "time line", the Iraqi government is talking about a "time line", Obama is talking about a "time line", and poor old John McCain is out of the loop, and out on a limb, as usual.

The only difference is that Obama has a timeline ignorant of the conditions on the ground.

Well, that''s odd. His "timeline" matches the Iraq''s governments timeline, so are you saying that the Iraqis are ignorant of conditions on the ground??

The ONLY way to find out if the surge really worked, is to draw down the troops and see if the violence stays down after, say, 3 months or so. Right now the only thing we know is that high troop levels work, something people have been saying for years. It doesn''''t tell us whether or not we need to keep the troops there indefinitely if we want violence to stay down.

"If he is so savvy about "winning" wars, which was the last one he participated in that we WON?

Posted by PAgirl8 at 08:45 PM : Jul 21, 2008"

Then I ask you the same question:

Which was the last war that Obama participated in that we won?

Using the same ruler your guy still doesn''t measure up.

Any bets on a major "Al Qaeda in Iraq" offensive just before November -- one that successfully targets Al Malaki?

A dime`ll get you a dollar

''''Obama has made Afghanistan a centerpiece of his proposed strategy for dealing with terrorism threats to the United States.''''

Can someone refresh my memory? Exactly WHEN did the Taliban attack/invade the US?!

Surge, smurge! The Iraq incursion was wrong, stupid, and above all expensive both in lives and money. It should not have taken place. Period. If the surge helped, then it is a good time to begin withdrawal and if we can''t withdraw, then the surge has not worked...it has only been an unsustainable band-aid.
