The surge has FAILED !

It''s not a resounding success ! And John McCain knows it.

If it was such a success then bring the boys home and throw a spectacular parade down Pennsylvania Ave.

But you can''t because some of you yellow-belly cowardly Republicans just can''t admit that you were wrong to go into Iraq.

You Republicans still claim Saddam was connected to Al Quaida.

You Republicans still claim that there were WMD.

You Republicans still claim that the surge is working when it has not.

You Republicans claim every 3 months that we''re turning the corner when we''re not.

Just today Republican Treasury Secretary Hank the Snake Paulson said "economy is still growing" when it''s been contracting for years.

Stop trying to "save face" admit you were wrong and let someone confident like Obama take the helm and get America out of this ditch before it''s too late!

My comments are as follows:

1. "I will end this war as president," he said. Great!
Keep saying it, but more importantly MEAN it! Don''t go back on your word! You''re obligated now!

2. President Bush was asked what advice he might give Obama as he prepared to visit Iraq. The president said he would ask Obama to listen carefully to Gen. David Petraeus (fm article).

How ironic! Bush suggests that Obama LISTEN to Petraeus---as if Bush himself ever listens to anyone! Pausing---for the laughter to die down--- Also, why would he want to listen to Bush''s poodle, a general who lost over two hundred thousands weapons, most of which fell into the hands of Sunni insurgents!?

My suggestion: take EVERYTHING Petraeus says with an overdose of salt---not a grain---but an overdose of salt! He''s going to tell you what he wants you to believe, not necessarily the way it actually is!

In his autobiography, "Dreams From My Father," Obama mentions studying the Quran and describes the public school as "a Muslim school."
The evidence seems to quite clearly show that both Ann Dunham and her husband Lolo Soetoro Mangunharjo were in fact devout Muslims themselves and they raised their son as such."

I was born in this country, went to school in this country, attended church in this country when I was young. Do you assume from that that I''m a christian? If you do, then I have some news for you.

rosie, I gave you the source. His foreign policy speech from today. I can''t listen to it for you, but you must know how to google. You may also want to visit his website, along with McCains and actually learn what each candidate stands for. I can''t imaging you not voting for Obama if you do that; but if you decide to vote for McCain, based on both of their actual policies, so be it.

I''d be most happy to see his position, if he''d just commit. You have a source ?

While I believe it would be best for McCain to not call it "waffling" because Obama said he would be willing to "refine" his policies as a result of his first visit to Iraq; I do believe it points to a fundamental problem Obama has had of leaping before he looks.

Much ado about nothing has been made about McCain''s statement of being less than profficient in the area of US Economics, but I''d rather hear the truth of what a Candidate knows than the results of the latest poll. Integrity can not be bought or easily restored.

NO ONE is perfect for the job, that''s why Senate approved Cabinet secretaries are installed.

He is a smooth politician always talking about "bigger" things for us to focus on.

If he had ever accomplished anything post college I would vote for him.

Note how he never spells out HIS plan, he just talks in platitudes, and about how he didn''''t vote for the war (shear luck - not for the correct reasons most likely).

I''''m willing to bet, just like all of his other flip flops, he''''s had his doubts about his Iraq war vote in the past - like when Saddam was captured, - when the population voted, in spite of threats - when the deaths have dropped since the surge - and now with Iraq beginning to believe they can take the reigns.

Obama is a opportunist, who is WAY out of his league.

rosie, you obviously didn;t listen to Obama''s foreign policy speech today, where he listed 5 specific goals and then proceeded to say exactly what he would do to achieve them. Just because all the GOP says "he will raise your taxes" and "he isn;t specific" doesn;t make it true. get the facts.

16 reasons not to vote for McCain.
1. Claims foreign policy as strength but can%u2019t keep friends & enemies straight.
2. Too hawkish on war.
3. Too hawkish on Iran
4. Did the biggest flip-flop in history-sold soul to Bush for endorsement.
5. Admits knows nothing about economy.
6. Seems to always have lobbyist issues.
7. Thinks pharma & ins. co., if left alone, will fix healthcare.
8. Did not hold Bush admin. accountable for torture.
9. Says he won%u2019t raise taxes, but doesn%u2019t explain how to reduce record debt or record deficit.
10. Shows early signs of senility. Look at video in 2000, & then current video and you can see the decline. Follows every statement w/ that Cheshire cat grin & deer in headlights stare.
11. Says %u201Cit%u2019s not important when our soldiers come home from Iraq if no casualties%u201D ignoring that there will ALWAYS be casualties while we are there & we have unfinished business elsewhere w/ an already stretched military.
12. Says %u201CAmerican%u2019s don%u2019t care if their President has a temper%u201D. He tries to dictate debate w/ unsubstantiated assumptions about what we care about.
13. Associated w/for 18 years, & refuses to give back the $300k in contributions, from a man who thinks raping women is fodder for jokes.
14. Man who he picked to set economic policy thinks poor economy is in our heads and we are whiners.
15. Thinks NAFTA = equal competition; but I bet he won%u2019t work for $1.50 an hour
16. He will veto all beer.

Barack Obama

He was registered under the name of Barry Soetoro, serial number 203. School documents list Barry Soetoro as an Indonesian citizen and his religion was listed as Islam.
His third grade teacher, Fermina Katarina Sinaga, now 67, asked her class to write an essay titled "My dream: What I want to be in the future." Obama wrote "I want to be a President," she said.

All Indonesian students are required to study religion at school and a young Barry Soetoro, being a Muslim, would have been required to study Islam daily in school.

He would have been taught to read and write Arabic, to recite his prayers properly, to read and recite from the Quran and to study the laws of Islam.

Obama still doesn''t get it does he ?

He is setting himself up for another flip-flop.

Never mind that the surge and the tactics that were enabled by those extra troops probably reduced the costs (both $ and Deaths) since it was started. Never mind that Petreaus is the local expert...

Obama just wants to throw away all of those gains.

Note how he never spells out HIS plan, he just talks in platitudes, and about how he didn''t vote for the war (shear luck - not for the correct reasons most likely).

the Democrats did not take over Congress. I believe the latest count in the Senate is 49 Dems, 49 GOP. The edge is the house is very slight. Combine that with the veto power of the POTUS and the fillibuster capabilities of the GOP in congress, and the Dems can not get any bill pased if the gOP doesn;t want them to. Now we can sit here and spout BS back and forth, but that is the truth, and you know it is the truth. congress is a bi-partisan failure.

dem congress-9% approval ratings-won''''t allow drilling for political gain, won''''t do a d^m thing for fear it will make a Republican look good. Yep, these are the socialists I want to run the country. Remeber leemings, congress makes policy, the president either approves or not. In any event, congress can override the president.

Barolcalto, how is the economy working for you and your kids? I hope you are one of these rich Greasy Old Pervert types who have it made off of the backs of the rest of us. Or maybe you are mesmerized by Lush Lintball and his right wing wacko types. Maybe you are not even an American because you don''t support the troops or our Constitution if you support McSame.

The messiah who has served exactly 147 days in the US senate. The empty suit who has NO EXPERIENCE at all to be president. BUT-soros loves him, the msm loves, the leftist elites love him and oh yea, he''''s half black which feeds into the ever present "white guilt".
Have you heard his 5 point plan to win the war, oh yea, he''''s changed his mind. Read it carefully dems, it sounds a lot like what we''''re trying to do now.

My fellow Democratic it is not too late, things can change in Denver. Obama is dropping in the polls heck Hillary would be up by 20 on McCain.. Hillary if she will take it should be our candidate.
