Wow, those of you commenting on his religion are not only wrong on almost every point, you miss the point entirely.

Let me refer you to the US Constitution, Article VI, secstion 3....

%u201C ...no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States. %u201D

Who cares what his religion is? It has NO BEARING on his bid for political office. The fact that any of you are making it an issue shows more about YOUR shortcomings and bigotry (and in many cases ignorance), than anything it says about him.

Romney has a proven track record of cleaning up financial and political messes others leave behind, without job loss, without loss of benefits. While I certainly hesitated at first, due to religious belief, it took only a moment to realize as an ADULT, that his religion plays ZERO part in this discussion. Grow up and do what''s right for this country; start supporting candidates that actually have the experience to get things done, rather than pandering to stupidity.

Romney keeps saying the surge is working. But, McCain always harps on the fact that Obama hasn''t been to Iraq. Has Romney been to Iraq Cons?

Some of you say that you will stay home if he is on the ticket.... what a mistake.... y''all claim to be big time "social conservatives" but you would knowingly put an Obama in office who has supported partial birth and even live birth abortions, is a strong proponent of Gay Marriage, and is openly against the second amendment....

Romney not only helps the ticket but gives the country the best chance to actually turn around the Economy, encourage Corporation success and subsequent job growth, and helping McCain in getting us off foreign oil and giving us victory on the global war on terror....

If Obama wins you will see Corporations and jobs leave this country faster than roaches run from light, you will see caos in the mideast, and you will see terrorist up close and personal here on American Soil.... My advise for those of you that also see this and are as frightened of Obama as I am, I would encourage you to start putting away food, start getting out of debt, and get yourself some hand guns for protecting your home and family.

Some of you Evangelicals really give the rest of us a bad name.... You guys come on here and make threats about Romney and then start pushing Huckabee as a better choice... Y''all could not be more wrong and what''s more, you don''t speak for the rest of us "rational evangelicals".... Romney would be an outstanding pick....

He would make the Conservatives of our party feel represented, he would get the Economic Republicans excited and they would probably start reaching into their pockets more to level the monetary playing field with Obama, He has the best "pedigree" in politics when it comes to the Economy, and he could well be the deciding factor in helping McCain (not necessarily my favorite, but the "best" left standing) win some "battle ground states"... i.e. Michigan, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, and maybe even NH and New Mexico.

The history of racist doctrine in the Mormon religion continues to haunt this religion to this day. Racist texts in the "Book of Mormon" and other allegedly "sacred" works (Books of Abraham and Moses) continue to expose the racist beliefs of the early Mormon leaders.

The retraction of 1978, allowing "colored people" to the LDS "Priesthood," leaves untouched the underlying racist theology in Mormon theology. Not only this, but the climbdown contradicts earlier dogmatic statements by LDS president Brigham Young (and others). In any case, it is clear that the racist doctrine of the LDS religion, a religion which presents itself to the world as the "restored gospel of Jesus Christ," will continue to haunt the Mormon church for some time to come.

Great judgment in belonging to that church Mitt!!!

C''mon, JUST BECAUSE MORMONS ARE NOT LYNCHING BLACKS DOES NOT MEAN THEIR FUNDAMENTAL DOCTRINE IS NOT RACIST!

Racism in the Book of Mormon

1 Nephi 12:23
"And I beheld, after they had dwindled in unbelief they became a dark and loathsome and a filthy people, full of idleness and all manner of abominations."

3 Nephi 2:14-15
"And it came to pass that those Lamanites who had united with the Nephites were numbered among the Nephites; and their curse was taken from them, and their skin became white like unto the Nephites. And their young men and their daughters became exceeding fair.."

According to LDS theology, the Lamanites are the ancestors of the American Indians. In the verses above we see the unbelievable LDS teaching that the skin of the Lamanites would turn white upon conversion!

Jacob 3:8-9
"O my brethren, I fear that unless ye shall repent of your sins that their skins will be whiter than yours, when ye shall be brought with them before the throne of God. Wherefore, a commandment I give unto you, which is the word of God, that ye revile no more against them because of the darkness of their skins "
These racist verses persist to this day, though, as mentoned, the word "white" has been replaced with "pure".

The Mormon church in 1981 decreed that blacks could be ordained to the LDS higher priesthood. I was a member of the church and left because I grew up Catholic. While I attended BYU in 1981/82, I saw no real hatred directed towards blacks. BYU is a large church run by the Mormon''''s. If he were to becom vice president Mitt being a Mormon would make Americans appear lusty to women all across the world.

HERE IS A MAIN QUOTE FROM THE MORMON DOCTRINE YOUR BOY ROMNEY ADHERES TO:

"You see some classes of the human family that are black, uncouth, uncomely, disagreeable and low in their habits, wild, and seemingly deprived of nearly all the blessings of the intelligence that is generally bestowed upon mankind.

The first man that committed the odious crime of killing one of his brethren will be cursed the longest of any one of the children of Adam. Cain slew his brother. Cain might have been killed, and that would have put a termination to that line of human beings.

This was not to be, and the Lord put a mark upon him, which is the flat nose and black skin. Trace mankind down to after the flood, and then another curse is pronounced upon the same race--that they should be the "servant of servants;" and they will be, until that curse is removed."
