Hardly a fair contest. McCain is so far behind and has nothing to get him even in the contest, except some really lame desperate tactic.

I heard today on the radio that many Republican strategists are giving up on trying to strategize for McCain.

Of course the media has an interest in making it seem close, so they are giving McCain every break.

McCain''s economic plan: Continue the same disastrous borrow-and-spend policies of President Bush. Give the middle class a token tax break while giving the wealthy a much bigger break, all using borrowed money. Implement a health care policy that emphasizes individual vs. group plans, that will be a nightmare for Americans. Push for more "free trade" policies that encourages more outsourcing of jobs to other countries.

Yeah, vote for McCain. You deserve it.

McCain speaking at these town hall meetings reminds me of the opening monologue to a badly done late night TV show. Everything is a joke ... really as a speaker he is more of a comedian than a politician. All that''s missing is a laugh track.

ChrisL45...As a rule I do not make remarks about someone''s intelligence but I''m sorry, I just can''t help myself in your case. I''ve read about half of your posts and I have never read anything so simple minded on these boards before. I''s fine if you don''t want to see Obama elected and it''s fine to post facts to back up your position. Many who post here do just that. But your posts are down right embarrassing. I admire your passion but had you been one of my students when I was teaching it would have been very difficult to give you a passing grade. Actually, it sounds to me like you are an avid listener to Rush Limlbaugh and are simply trying to repeat some of his drivel. Try a little harder to educate yourself and you will find it very rewarding. Good luck to you.

Go back to school and get an education in economics.

The President does not control the economy, Congress does. Whether through bad lawmaking or their inaction.

And look how fast it has gone downhill since the Democrats took over.

Europeans will disagree with you by the millions. And NONE of them want our crappy system. Yeah, your Kaiser crapp is all about you. Just like I said. But even they get to tell you where and when to bend over. But I am sure that you are so brainwashed as to "government" managed health care that you can only see the good of government managed anything is when it involves war and spying on its citizenry.

Here''s McSenile, the Repukon Candidate''s Plan for Boosting the Economy
-McCane shall require his wife''s help and advise (at rate of 10,000$/hour) in order to enlarge the Beer distribution company she owns and make beer more accessible to American individuals, raising more taxes on Beer and finance the current and future wars he wants to start as soon as he gets in office.

-As a reusult of the increase in Alcohol consumption, Americans will suffer from liver cirrhosis which will translate into more Hospital admissions with a positive impact on Nurses and Doctors'' hiring and in consequent higher incom taxes. By 2012, America would be out of its debt and Americans would spend twice as long as today in Hospitals.

A recent study by the non-partisan Tax Policy Center says Obama''s plan would give a cut of more than $1,000 dollars to families making between $37,000 and $66,000 a year. Under McCain''s plan they''d get just $319, according to the study...

Is that BEFORE or AFTER the current Bush tax cuts are allowed to expire? They''re BOTH gonna stick it to the middle class again!
