Comments on: Flag Pin Just One Symbol Embraced By Obama
CBSNews.com Reports: The Illinois Senator Has Reached Far And Wide For Imagery To Define His Candidacy
- Obama could hang a flag pin out of his nose and it wouldn''''t matter. The ******* already used the flag pin as an opportunity to spew his dislike of this country!

In this the the celebration of the birth of this nation,
I borrow a quote from George Bernard Shaw: "Some men see things as they are and say ''Why?'' I dream things that never were and say, ''Why not?''"
We can unite and help lead this nation to its final goal, of a more perfect union! ONE NATION UNDER GOD...
WHY NOT? - Reply to this comment
- Too bad that the symbol-readers can gauge somebody''s patriotism on the presence or absence of a lapel pin! It''s a sad fact that so many voters can base their vote on something as thin as that. It''s sad also for Obama to have evidence of the superficiality of a great majority of voters.

- . We keep cluttering up the real meaning of America with symbols instead of celebrating our reality, that all men, and women, should be free and happy.

This country is not about a flag pin; it%u2019s not about a flag; it is more about a citizen%u2019s right to burn that flag in protest if they disagree with what this country is doing. Anyone who thinks wearing a flag pin makes them patriotic is sick. It%u2019s like a baby that cries, not because it hurts, but because it wants others to think it hurts. This country is about the right of a person to get up and put forth an opinion that others might totally disagree with, and you have the right to protest it . That is what America is about; that is what we should celebrate. It%u2019s called freedom of expression as provided for in the First Amendment of the United States Constitution: The right to express ourselves any way we wish. IF YOU LIKE A PRESIDENT WHO VOTED AGAINST MATERNITY LEAVE FOR WOMEN;
IF YOU LOOK FORWARD TO THE END OF ROE V. WADE;
IF YOU LIKE THE UNFAIR TRADE POLICIES THAT SEND JOBS AND TECHNOLOGY OVERSEAS;
IF YOU LIKE A GOVERNMENT THAT PRACTICES TORTURE;
IF YOU LIKE A GOVERNMENT THAT SPIES ON ITS OWN CITIZEN;
IF YOU LIKE THE FACT THAT THE US IS ONE OF THE MOST REVILED NATIONS ON THE PLANET, THEN YOU''LL JUST LOVE McCAIN. - Reply to this comment

- Since the ignorant GOP Sheep, keep repeating the lies they hear about Obama (and Michelle), especially about their *Patriotism,* and hating whites... let''s just say, I prefer a President that was born in the good ol'' USA.
Go Barack!
McCain was not born in the States (he was born in the Panama Canal Zone), so, using *Sheep Logic,* he must be a henchman of Noriega, and thus, not a True American.
Let''s not outsource the Presidency, to foreign invaders like McCain. We need a true American-born President... Barack Obama.
Use your brain, don''t vote McCain! - Reply to this comment

- p.s. joe1022joe, not that it matters, but Senator Obama was a member of a Christian church for decades.
Get your facts straight. - Reply to this comment
- joe1022joe, have you always been a racist pig?
In this country we do NOT persecute people on the basis of their race and religion.
You see, if you were a patriotic American you would have heard of this thing called the Civil Rights Act. - Reply to this comment
- Barak Hussein Obama was accidentally born on our soil. Half his family is Moslem and today lives in Africa. Forget patriotic, he''s not even an American at heart having declared in writing he identified more with his father''s people than his mother''s. His father''s "people" are black Moslems living today in Africa. His mother''s "people" are white Christian Americans. Obama identifies more with his black Moslem African relatives than his white Christian American relatives. This guy is really a non-American.

- Most people waving the American flags are so scared of being anti-patriotic and speaking out against the fascist government that they are hiding behind it. Kind of like the big truck making up for the little, you know what I mean.
Most of those people seem to me to be actually loyalists who say my country wrong or right. They would have been behind King George in the 18th century. It is up to the dissenters, war protestors, abortion rights and civil and human rights activists to show them the REAL meaning of what a patriot is. - Reply to this comment
