cold777: I would love to see Mitt Romney as McCain''s VP. He has a good understanding of the economy, whereas McCain is better at foreign affairs...Unfortunately, that probably won''t happen, as they can''t stand each other....

cold777: I guess we are more alike than we first thought. I''''m waiting to see who McCain chooses as his running mate....That might make a big difference

I actually liked Mccain in 2000, but I cannot vote for him in this election. He has gone too far to the right for me......Obama (although he may have many flaws) gets my vote........just this week, Mccain said that he would only have a a military draft if we were in a WWIII situation, but in 2006 he told CNN that he believed that we were in the first stages of WWIII......I simply cannot go with that kind of thinking.......if you are wondering who mccain will choose, I strongly believe that it will be Romney or Crist.

msay3: So your a moderate than? You may think that I am a liberal, but I am actually a moderate. I tend to lean towards liberal issues, but there are some key issues that I have Conservative views on.

cold777: To be honest with you, I''m not thrilled about either one of them.... :( I am a registered Republican, but that isn''t written in stone either....

msay3: Me too.......if there is something I don''t agree with, I jump right in (like an attack dog)! Was Mccain your choice all along, or are you just going with him because he''s the Republican?

Just what part of Obama''s speech are you *** up? I''m not an Obama fan, but I do think you need to pay close attention to the words if you have the audacity to quote someone incorrectly.... The quote is as follows:

"Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific assurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction. "
