- Gas was at less than $2.00 when Bush became president. It is headed for $5.00 with a bullet as we speak. The Republicans will tell you it is all about supply-n-demand (demand apparently doubled in the last year and a half). What they will not tell you is that unregulated oil speculation, thanks to a loophole in a law planted there by former Senator Phil Gramm, a leading McCain economic advisor, has led to this Enronesque gas price rip-off. They will also rail about off-shore drilling or drilling in ANWAR as the solution to supply: reality check tells you that oil conglomerates are currently sitting on thousands of leases without drilling on them. Why? To wait to drill until the price spikes even higher to maximize profits, thats why. Bush and the Republicans have offered zero in terms of long-term solutions to the problem. Their sole energy policy to date has been secret White House meeting chaired by Cheney that fueled record profits for the energy corporations. Obama tells you that a gas tax holiday is an election year gimmick that will do nothing to lower prices or solve the long-term problem. His plan sounds a heckuva lot more grounded in reality than McCain and the fellow fascist Republicans.

The blade goes around your throat as you cry out for this not to happen? You begin to grasp for air as the Muslim cuts deeper and deeper into you throat. You realize that in a few seconds your head will be removed for the purpose of Islam. The last thing you notice is the eyes of the person who is cutting into your bone. You shriek your final breath as you know that time cannot go backwards for this not to happen to you!
This is the Muslim way to a better way!

- Sarge: The same holds true with Americans and socialism. The typical person cannot distinguish between socialism / communism / and dictatorship. They hear socialism and they think gulags and Stalin-era state sponsored terror. They do not understand that the "socialist countries" in Europe (i.e. Denmark, Finland, Germany, etc.) practice democracy on a scale that exceeds our own, but they have chosen to opt for a country that makes sure all people have access to affordable (and preventative) health care, university degrees, paid family leave for pregnancies, etc. One can make their own decision about the wisdom of such things. The sad part is how so many make their judgements about such things based on ignorance and misplaced ideology as opposed to logic and intellegent debate.

You hit that one on the head. He hasn''t the slightest idea of what Fascism is or he''d realize that the true definition of it fits Bush like a glove. He just throws the word out there because somewhere in his fevered tiny mind he has it as a "bad" word. - Come Novermber 4th when people enter the voting booth, one thing will stand out in their mind. There are a lot of unanswered questions about Obama and they will vote for McCain. The polls today mean nothing. Four years ago Kerry was 27% ahead of George Bush in the polls and I thought Kerry would win, but you know what happened.

- Neoconservatives, lead by Bush and Cheney and Kristol and Rumsfeld, etc., are the new face of fascism in the world today. Just like the fascist movements of the past the used patriotism to gain power and then slowly started strangling the rights and freedoms of the people that gave them the power. Just like fascist movements of the past they will be destroyed and ground into the dust. They will be hunted down and imprisoned or executed. Make no mistake that they are the true enemies of America today and they will be taken down.
