There is a war?

I seem to remember an oil scam that Bu$h and the Pentagoons were running, somewhere in the Middle East...

I thought everyone found out the president lied, misappropriated Treasury funds and was sent to Gitmo, along with the vice-president and Secretary of State - for crimes against the United States...

Sounds a like a fairly good compromise from my point of view. Go for it!

Congress really does have the power they just need to learn how to use it. While its to late this time around the next time whoever is looking for more war funding just stall it. It cant keep going without those funding bills coming out of congress. This is a perfect example. Bush gets his war money and everyone else gets something to. You can bet the only reason Bush will sign it is because of the war funding. Without that I would have seen the veto pen which has to be running out of ink by now

Congress at its best. A little something for everybody. You can tell its getting close to election time and nobody wants to look like a stick in the mud. On the good side team 1 got money to help flood areas, extension of UE benfits, and a GI school fund bill. Team 2 got another 165 billion to keep the war machine well oiled for another year. Back patting and hand shakes all around. Its election time.
