Vaughn Ververs: The Death Of Tim Russert Will Reverberate For A Long Time
- He was the embodiment of health. I''m shocked.

- I am completely and utterly stunned. I really enjoyed is enthusiasm. He was the one political journalist that did not bore me to tears. Too young, so tragic. Nonetheless, he lived an enviable life.

- If Tim Russert could question officials on his own death:
Was he found facing up or down?
What did he eat for his last meal?
Are you really sure?
This is important because it goes to questions of credibility...now, earlier you said it was Halibut, but now you''re saying it was swordfish, why the change in answer?
Excuse me, but you''re saying you can''t even be sure it was swordfish at this point?
Do you think the American people have a right to know what kind of fish you in fact ate? - Reply to this comment
Who will save America this election year?

- Let''s play:
"Unanswered Questions Timmy Left At The Table"
1. But Mr. Obama, all of America wants to know
do you like Pepsi or Coke?
2. Mrs. Obama, my question to you is, as an American,
do you think Chicago pizza is the best? - Reply to this comment
- First Anna Nicole and now Timmy. Is there no God?

- Tim, your acumen and insight will be sorely missed on Sunday mornings by political junkies everywhere. My condolences to the entire Russert family.

- It''s sad, to lose a stand up guy like Russert, and then be left with door *** like O''Reilly, Rivera and LameButt, a lousy trade. No one will miss the three of them, so they''ll probably die of old age, in their sleep.

- Yep. If a gov''t official told Timmy something without first asking to be off the record, Timmy would ask first if he could go on record with it. What an awesome fact-digging journalist he was.

- Tim Russert is now riding the Kucinich UFO up and away to the sky. If only he could tell us about it. Gotcha politics lost a real player today.

- Well that''s a rap for this article. Remember, if it''s Sunday it must be Meet The Press.
Now let''s all join in and hop on board the friendship train and welcome the new guy (God, I hope it isn''t that Gregory guy)
Goodnight and good luck. - Reply to this comment
- RIP Tim!
Will miss your show this Sunday!
In the meantime, something off-topic (sorry Tim!):
Just discovered this link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Prosecution_of_George_W._Bush_for_Murder
This is a book titled "The Prosecution of George W Bush for Murder" written by Vincent Bugliosi, former Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney who successfully prosecuted Charles Manson among others.
All the legal evidence against the Liar-in-Chief in black and white.
There''s no statute of limitations for murder so G W Bush can be prosecuted at any time, even twenty years from now for murder. - Reply to this comment

Well rushlimpdrug... it doesn''''t seem Tim Russert had many friends after all. Only you and I are left to remember him.
Wait aa minute I see another visiter has arrived.
Man, only three pages of comments to this "legend" dying?
I guess people are just now getting my message about the true meaning of death.
Nice. - Reply to this comment

- Russert was a hack.
He was only slightly better than your average member of the lapdog media but not enough to make a difference.
All of American "journalism" serves only one purpose: to support the powers that be. Most recently it''''''''s been the Republican Party and Bush. They are rabidly partisan and beholden to the people who pay their salaries - which is to say the corporations.
Russert was rich and successful and powerful because of the role he played in supporting the system, not reporting it. If he was an honest journalist he would have been fired long ago.

So very true.
Most Americans are not fooled.
Too bad the "press" believes their own krap.

- Tim Russert was great!! I loved watching him, Jim Miklaszewski, and Sam Donaldson. Those guys knew how to spin a loaded question and cut through a loaded answer.

- Again... death is no big deal. Some people act as if it never is suppose to happen. I like it when people die. I''m looking forward to it myself.
Remember, according to the Bible we are to mourn birth and celebrate death. So let''s get out the party hats for Mr. Tim Russert, everybody and thank him for this moment.
R.I.P. Tim - Reply to this comment
- A good moderate voice in a very ignorant world. Blessed with a strong faith, and a good sense of right and wrong. I''m sorry to see you go.
