- Yeah, the whole reason we have cars that only get 15-20 miles to the gallon is that the car companies are in cahoots with the oil companies, and lobbyists have interfered with us finding other solutions...
Yeah, King Shrub''s buddies are rolling in the dough now with record profits...but what about us?
I got laid off from my job three weeks ago...I was in the Construction industry. I''m THRILLED that I don''t have to pay $400 a month in gas to commute. - Reply to this comment

- We have to stop dwelling on this gloom and doom. Exactly the point. Whomever takes the presidency in November, best be prepared to take smart and swift actions.

- Exactly, dragonwagon5!
Heck, we should stereotype EVERYONE because of their names. I can tell from your name that you must like dungeons and dragons, and probably sacrifice small children in your station wagon. Therefore, you must be an ATHEIST!!! - Reply to this comment
- Part II
We have to shore up the dollar which will help the economy, develop new technologies to accommodate less dependance on oil which will give new life to us and industry. We have to stop dwelling on this gloom and doom. Our unemployment rate is nearly 5%, unlike France''s 25%. We need to need more trade deals not more pandering to Unions. We live in a global market. We need low taxes, not bills like Lieberman/Warner that will tax our families trillons of dollars while Washington pockets most of the booty for their global warming initiative. And we need free market competition initiatives to deal with too much government regulation over HMO''s, drugs, etc. so we can have affordable healthcare. Do you know that everyone in Japan is covered on healthcare. It is private, not state run. I suggested McCain look into their model as well. - Reply to this comment
- McCain complains Obama dosn''''t support the troops, but it''''s McCain who agrees with Bush in opposing the new G.I. Bill. It''''s fine to send our country''''s sons and daughters to war, but forget them when they get home, with substandard health care and inadequate funding for higher education. This country should be ashamed that veterans are literally begging on our streets!

Yeah, so much for ''support the troops''! Also saw an interesting article the other day on how the number of homeless vets who are woman is increasing substantially. Not sure I can backtrack and find the link, but I''ll post it if I do. - Reply to this comment

Your Geriatric patient, i mean, Candidate is Toast,
did you notice the same camara angle of the same 35 or so people at his Press conference?
after every forced smile, and bobed remark there was an inaudible 35 Decibel clapping and yawning......
it was really SAD... - Reply to this comment
- MCCAIN AND BUSH ARE JUST ALIKE. THE TROOPS ARE CANNON FODDER AND DONT DESERVE BENEFITS AND GOOD TREATMENT.
THEY ARE OF THE ELITE (LIKE THE BRITISH MILITARY ARISTROCRACY WERE) AND THE PEONS/MINORITIES ARE THERE TO SERVE AND DIE FOR WHATEVER WAR THEY DECIDE TO FIGHT.
MCCAIN CAME FROM AN ELITE MILITARY FAMILY THAT CONSIDERS THE TROOPS THAT FIGHT AS EXPENDABLE.
THATS ALL FOLKS!! - Reply to this comment
- jetlizhan..."muslim anti-christ?"
Heck, everyone knows he''s gone to a Christian church for at least 20 years...at least the Republicans can''t seem to stop pointing that out!
Just because his name sounds Muslim, doesn''t mean he''s Muslim...
Check out snopes.com for an explanation of his background...better yet, do some research yourself.

Besides, I''d rather have a candidate who knows SOMETHING of the Muslim religion, and might be able to soothe tensions with a religion that''s bigger than our own ego-centric Christianity. - Reply to this comment
