Obama Resigns Church Membership in Chicago

Barack Obama and his wife Michelle have resigned their membership at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, FOX News confirms, after controversies stemming from the church created a persistent distraction for Obama%u2019s campaign.

Most recently, a Web video surfaced showing Chicago pastor Michael Pfleger giving a guest sermon at the church Sunday where he taunted Hillary Clinton and said she felt she was %u201Centitled%u201D to the presidency because she%u2019s white.

Obama said he was deeply disappointed by the remarks and Pfleger apologized, but Clinton%u2019s campaign still demanded Obama specifically reject the latest remarks.

By resigning his membership, Obama is taking the most definitive stand to date against the church.

He has already roundly condemned his former pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr.

Videos of Wright%u2019s sermons, where he claimed the U.S. government created HIV to exterminate black people and said %u201CGod *** America,%u201D threatened to derail Obama%u2019s campaign when they first surfaced in March.

Hillary could have had a long term plan as well, and fought for caucus states but felt she was already ordained.

Failing to plan is planing to fail! Makes it really clear who will REALLY be ready on day 1 as President (and it''s not looking like an HRC day)...
