- @ cockapoo1: "Borrowing may be expensive, but it all depends on what yer sense of an emergency is. Because thats what credit is really for: Emergencies."
The Iraq war was never an "emergency". The Republican "Borrow and spend" fiscal policy is a very expensive prescription for eventual financial disaster. - Reply to this comment

- McCain released 1146 pages of medical records and gave selected reporters three (3) hours to examine them. They were not allowed to scan, copy, fax or record them in any manner. They were not the complete records. They were released on, a Friday before a long holiday when, hopefully other news might intervene.

- McBush''s experience is important. His experience with censure in the Keating scandal taught him just how far one can go in the lobbyist-fat cat game without being indicted. He learned that plausible deniability can save his backside while keeping friends close and lobbyists closer.
His tenure in DC has taught him to be a world-class Flip-Flopper. He''s become able to Flip-Flop so well that he can flip-flop multiple times and take diametrically opposing positions during a single interview.
His high age is less important than his lower intelligence his nearly non-existent consistency.
The presidency is a difficult and complex job and is better filled with someone smarter than most people, not someone on the low side of average as we''ve seen recently. - Reply to this comment

- The "tax and spend" liberal gave way to the "borrow and spend" conservative.
The only problem with that change is that borrowing is always much more expensive, in the long run, than paying as you go is. - Reply to this comment
