If you share McCain''s political views, age is not an issue. If you oppose McCain''s political views, it is easy to make age an issue. It all revolves around political hype and this is true of all of the candidates. Clinton supporters slander Obama, Obama supporters slander Clinton, etc. The half truths and non-truths fly freely on all sides. Most people see through all of this.

McCain''s problem is not his age. Instead, his problem is he''s an uncorrectible, single-issue candidate: war.

And of course the scary aspect of that is McCain has shown, at most, a limited understanding of the forces, cultures and dynamics of the Middle East.

In other words, where he hasn''t flip flopped in the last few months, he''s a no-show [the economy, mortgage crisis, NAFTA, health care, taxes, etc.] or incompetent.

So age isn''t his problem. It''s his single issue, combined with all that goes with it [100 years in Iraq, permanent military bases, bloated military spending], and his overall incompetence that are the problems.

In sum, I realize the McCain camp is currently doing all it can to shore up his deficiencies, but they''ll never get all this corrected before November.

Katie Couric has achieved two things in her tenure at CBS news:

1. She has had more hateful and nasty things to say than any anchor in the history of television. John McCain was captured, and tortured for several years in a N. Vietnam prison camp. He had the courage to withstand all of that. You never saw John McCain on television denouncing the United States to save his own life. I don''t question his mental health, I APPLAUD HIS COURAGE.
2. Couric has earned the lowest ratings in the history of television news. On a good evening she will get 5-5.5 million viewers versus NBC''S, OR ABC''S 8+ million viewers.

KATIE, I SAY TO YOU WHAT WAS SAID TO SENATOR MCCARTHY IN 1953.

"AT LONG LAST, HAVE YOU NO DECENCY?"

The headline should instead read "Americans WILL make John McBush''''s age a major issue before November, 2008. AND American''''s will also expose prescription narcotic drug addicted Cindy McCain as perhaps the most pathetic potential First Lady in US history since GW Bush''''s wife (whatever her name is?)

What a dumb statement that is. Laura Bush has high poll numbers. She is no stepford wife. Shows how little you know.

Who endorses McCain?

Pastor John Hagee

%u201CAdolf Hitler was sent by God to get Jews to the Promised Land.%u201D

-Pastor John Hagee

McCain actively pursued Hagee''s endorsment and than said:

he was "very honored by Pastor John Hagee''s endorsement."

The Headline says:

"Critics Try To Make McCain''s Age An Issue."

Anyone who can hike the Grand Canyon from rim to rim, an from what the Doctor''s say, we have another Reagan type, younger in body then his years. Where are the Health records of Obama an Hillary. Obama seems to be the one who needs rest, might be his lungs need some looking at. If they use McCain''s age then its open season on what will be said about Obama.
