We''''re just going to have to agree to disagree on that one issue, Sarge...sorry, I can''''t go there with ya.

Exactly! That''''s why we need a workable Guest Worker Program! these are just great people who are just trying to do the best by their families! We need them and they need us! I can''''t understand why some people see a conflict here! And they are GOOD people! they''''re not criminals or thieves or drug addicts or dealers or any of that garbage! They just want to work hard and to provide a good life for their kids, just like every other American.

Yep, just like we all do, and did! When I first started working and supporting my children alone...I made a pittance also! But with hard work and knowledge, I was able to become totally prosperous...but I was lucky! I didn''t have to HIDE my *** self to get to work! And had opportunity!

Everybody needs that!

ROTFLMFAO!!! Not evil. A bit misguided in ways I won''t go into right now since we seem to be getting along. LOL!

I have this one evil vicious nasty devil possessed squirrel that tears down every wild bird feeder I put up. I know it''s the same little SOB by the twitch of it tail! I swear by the power of Carl Sagan that I will find away around him and get my birds fed!

** How do you know I wouldn''''t work that hard? That is like you are calling white people lazy! Don''''t call all white people lazy! I work hard! As for the the 300 bucks per night, that would be fine if i''''m making 12 bucks an hour to do housecleaning chores normally done by illegals! I would love to pay 10 bucks for a cheeseburger if i''''m making 12 bucks an hour at a restaurant because there is no illegals! Immigration matters because it also crosses into economics. If we had a good economy, maybe we should give "some" amnesty, but not over 12 million illegals amnesty like Juan Mccain wants! There should be some middle ground on the amnesty issue, thats all I want. I want some to go back, and show that laws will be obeyed, in return for some to be granted amnesty

Sir, are you willing to go out and dig post holes from sun up to sun down in freezing weather, and 110 degree weather?

** They may be GOOD people, but they still BROKE the LAW to get here! That still makes what they did against the law. If I drive through a stop sign, does it matter that i''m a GOOD person??

I could agree to some amnesty, but not over 12 million illegal immigrants! Can''t you agree with me that atleast some people should be forced to follow the laws anymore? How about half go back and half get to stay? I think there should be a fair deal worked out, not complete amnesty like Juan Mccain tried passing!

am not kidding rowdy. Our views of immigration and esp illegal immigration could not be more alike!

How can you be so wrong about other things and so right about this, small animals and little birds?

My brother has a business and uses migrant workers...they come here in February and go home in December...they''''re a geat family and the men work so hard...but they''''re always happy, and ready to work! And ready to share their FOOD...the''''re wonderful cooks if you love Mexican food.

We can''''t do enough for them. I round up work clothes for them, my brother provides their food, and a safe place to stay. YOu couldn''''t ask for any better people.

And he has tried for years to get them cards so they can be safe coming and going! I so hate to see them leave and know what they will face trying to get back home and come back!

Please get sensible. Once we get this settled, then we can get some agreements and help going to our neighbors that maybe will give people opportunity in their own countries!
Posted by RowdyWicca at 01:41 AM : May 23, 2008
*** If they become dependant upon working in our country, how will that help them get opportunity in their own countries? I could see us allowing some illegals to get amnesty, but over 12 million? You don''t think thats abit excessive? Why should we stay in Iraq and have our kids die, while illegal immigrants take over our country?

They do indeed. I wonder if how many of them realize that if not for illegal labor hotel rooms would routinely cost $300 a night at a Holiday Inn and a hamburger at a Macdonald''''s would be $10. I look at the housekeepers and maintenance staff at our hotel and I know we''''d never be able to get most American born people to work that hard for that money. And the thing is THEY LOVE TO DO IT! They''''re so happy to have just a chance to work in this great country! they are here tobuiold a life! To contribute!

I know Sarge...people tend to take so much for granted now days...and have no values for others...sometimes it scares me.

It doesn''''t matter what people do to earn their money...if it''''s honest money and somebody earns it well! Then they''''re just as important as any freaking genius!

There''''s only 24 hours in each persons day...I don''''t understand how people can think one person is worth more than another.

Amnesty is going to happen...it almost needs to happen, and neither you nor I am going to be able to stop it.

It would be impossible right now to enforce the law on people who have been here for years. You''''d have to literally wrench babies out of people''''s arms to make that happen!

Please get sensible. Once we get this settled, then we can get some agreements and help going to our neighbors that maybe will give people opportunity in their own countries!

*** I never said i''m better than anyone else. But how is it an Honest living that illegals live, if they are here illegally. That still makes their work dishonest, because legally they shouldn''t even be here! That is pay that I could be making instead. I have a bachelors degree and only make 7 bucks per hour at a video game store as a manager. If there was no mexicans here illegally to work in the hotels, the hotel owners would have to do the housekeeping jobs themselves(unlikely) or pay an american like me over 10 bucks an hour to do the same thing the illegals are doing. That is why it isn''t fair! If no illegals to do all that work, someone has to do it, but at a higher rate, which is good for the common american trying to make a living!

If you want to take issue with McCain...there are a whole lot more important issues than amnesty.

Amnesty is going to happen...it almost needs to happen, and neither you nor I am going to be able to stop it.

I am male. I like America but I do miss my country. But last week I meet other Pakistanis here at school. Thank you for your sentiments.
** You are very welcome. I hope you enjoy your time here, wether it only be a few weeks, for for your entire lifetime. I''m happy for your willingness to speak English rather than try to force Americans to speak Pakistani! If I wanted to move to Mexico, I would learn English. So why don''t the mexicans that want to come here learn English first? I''m probably moving to Indonesia soon. I won''t stay in USA if Amnesty Juan MCcain becomes president. We should follow all the laws of a country that we reside in, including immigration laws! Best wishes always!
