Comments on: Obama Says Sorry For Saying "Sweetie"
Democratic Candidate Apologizes To Michigan TV Reporter For Calling Her "Sweetie"
- On a personal level, I would say I wouldn''t be offended to be called sweetie by Barack Obama.
However;
I do think it does come off sounding patronizing, but I understand if that is what he is in the habit of calling his wife and young daughters. You get distracted with people pulling at you from all different directions and don''t measure everything you say.
He has apologized and I think what will be telling is if he continues it or if he makes a conscious effort to change the behavior.
Anyway, it doesn''t compare to George Bush groping the German Chancellor. - Reply to this comment
- She''s lucky he used a word of endearment. "Sweetie" is far better than "nag". Women!

- To Truthyness, I read the book and your attempt to take this statement out of context just isn''t holding water.
It is a great book and I encourage everyone to read it.
I have been watching Barack Obama from day one, if you people don''t know him by now then vote for McCain, the old man who will give you 4 more years of the same.
You obviously didn''t know GWbush very well but you apparently voted for him anyway. I didn''t vote for him because I knew what he would do. We live in Texas and had to put up with this moron as Governor....
It will be refreshing to have a man as brilliant as Sen. Obama as president.....He will surround himself with the brightest people in this country not his old cronies as Bush has done.
I want change, it is obvious that the entire country is ready for change, we are trouncing the GOP across the country in house seats and we stand to pick up a possible 20 seats in the house and senate...what does that tell you. - Reply to this comment
- This is so silly. Now we are going to brand him a sexist for calling someone sweetie. Senator Obama has little girls for God''s sake, he meant nothing by that comment to the news person. It was a natural response. I have been called sweetie at the grocery store, hey, did I scream "YOU SEXIST", no, I smiled and thought it was nice. Was she complaining....NO, she wasn''t. It probably come natural to him to say that. You people need to get a life and stop over analyzing everything this man does.
I wish Bush had been so analyzed..Oh, that''s right he was...everyone knew he was an idiot but you voted for him anyway and look where we are now.....
Give Obama a break. Use some common sense for a change. - Reply to this comment

Is that the fantasy you spend your day whacking off to? When your boy loses in November and you feel the need to end it all, be sure to make several vertical slits.....it will end more quickly for you.
