Well Dante805, I am also surprised and humored that Obama tok offense. Like I said in an earlier post; I assumed Bush was actually talking about the Republican Party, since it was a Republican senator who made the "appeasing" remark in 1939, and since the Republican Party had a solid record of Nazi sympathy and appeasement throughout the 1930s. So we are both laughing, but for different reasons.

It''s real funny how Obama and the corrupt DEMs were quick to assume that Bush was talking about Obama being the appeaser. I''m sure Jimmy Carter thought it was about him. And I''m sure Alec Baldwin and Sean Penn thought it was about them. Well it was - all about them not JUST Obama - Obama thinks everyone is always talking about him - could his head get any bigger - his ears can''t handle his head size as it is now. How is that May 20 victory party coming along? Seems like Hillary is trying to put a kink in that plan. LOL....

Would you nuke Iran?

Where is bin Laden, Iraq, Iran or Pakistan?

What is the connection between Hamas and Al Qaeda?

Who is supplying the majority of the insurgence in Iraq, Iran or Saudi Arabia?

The majority of 911 highjackers were form what country, Iraq, Iran or Saudi Arabia?

Which of the following countries has no major oil reserves: Iraq, Iran or Pakistan? Hint - bin Laden is rumored to be there.

"Why do you thin Iran took hostages with Carter in office. Becuase they knew he was soft..." Posted by guyfrompa45

So why did terrorists decide to blow up the Beruit Marine barracks when Reagan was in office, and why did Al Queda attack on 9/11 when Bush was in office? Gee, I guess ALL our presidents are soft... Or maybe global politics are more complex than ridiculous AM radio talking points.

Hey guyfrompa45, the bell is ringing and it''s time for you to get back to high school history class. You''ve got alot to learn.

My biggest problem with the current gang of Republicans isn''t their foreign policy ideology; it''s their unprecedented military incompetence. They screwed up Tora Bora, they''re still *** up Iraq and Afghanistan, the US-backed government in Lebanon is impotent, the US-backed Israeli incursion into Lebanon last year was a disaster. The list goes on and on. It''s fine when you want to use military force, but not when you have an approximate success rate of 0%. Get these jokers out of office. Can anyone convince Wes Clark to be the VP nominee for the Democrats? We desperately need SOMEBODY with a proven track record of military competence! No more Ivy League, ivory tower chicken hawks!

2 PAST & PRESENT PRESNDENTIAL ...HYPOCRITES SO ARE (YOU)

Clinton & Bush can Give Access to USA Ports, to those that Finance ''Terorrism''

They`re White...Its Alright !!

Critics say the takeover raises security concerns, noting that two of the hijackers in the September 11, 2001, attacks on New York and Washington came from the UAE and that the hijackers drew funds from bank accounts in Dubai, the financial center of the Persian Gulf.

But a port security expert said security fears are based on "Bigotry" Against Arabs.

"This whole notion that Dubai is going to control or set standards for U.S. ports is a canard," said Kim Petersen, head of SeaSecure, a U.S.-based maritime security company, and executive director of the Maritime Security Council, which represents 70 percent of the world`s ocean shipping.

The agreement is scheduled to take effect March 2. It was approved by the federal Committee on Foreign Investments in the United States, which includes representatives of the FBI, Pentagon and Treasury, Commerce and Homeland Security departments.

Dubai Ports World recently acquired the British-based firm that currently directs commercial operations at those ports, Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation. The takeover by Dubai Ports World means that it will be in charge of those operations.

History was not your strong suit, was it?

Iran had just deposed the Shah, who was the brutal US puppet, and the people were very angry at US attempts to keep his regime in power against their will. the Americans there should have had the common sense to get out of a country under those circumstances, yet arrogantly choose to ignore the angry mobs. They were lucky they weren''t torn to shreds, and I don''t care if you have the most staunch war hawk in office in the US, the pot was boiling, and the people would not be denied.

The hostages were taken because they were where they didn''t belong, wrong place, wrong time, period.
