Comments on: Abortion Rights Group Endorses Obama
NARAL Pro-Choice America Had Supported Rival Clinton Throughout Her Political Career
- I guess Obama is real proud !! Murderer
He Supports "LIVE BIRTH ABORTIONS !"
Barack Obama is on record as orchestrating the defeat of Illinois%u2019 Born Alive
Infants Protection Act. (Jill Stanek has documented this extensively.) While it
is obvious that everyone in the pro-life community finds this sufficiently
repulsive to vote for whoever (or whatever) is running against Obama, no
self-respecting pro-choice person is going to stand with Obama on this either.
Jerrold Nadler (D-NY, one of the most liberal members of Congress) said of the
Federal version of this legislation, %u201CThere is no such thing as a right to a
live birth abortion.%u201D

- The Abortion Rights Group should have been more accessible when Barabara was carrying little George. That way, she might have saved us all a whole lot of inconvenience. Instead, she made a pact with the Devil and gave birth to one, as well.

- But dont force your choice and your morality on others.

Why not prick? you right wingers never hesitate to force *YOUR* beliefs and morality as well as LAWS on all the rest of US, in fact your chirstian history is chock full of MURDERING people on the gallows, burnt at the stake or otherwise disposed of if they DARED go against the CHURCH''s corrupt false teachings.
But the CHURCH has lost power, you cant KILL anyone these days for blasphemy or heresy like before, you cant KILL suspected "witches" and steal their property and one church I read about is begging for patrons they are offering free GAS to get people in- the last gasps of a dying, stuffy, backasswords institution with a murderous past. - Reply to this comment

It doesnt get any simpler then that.

No pal, if you are anti life then vote against the right to birth control and abortion so we continue flooding this planet with MORE unwanted babies and mouths to feed in a FINITE environment that is already going down the tubes from the overpopulation.
EVERY new mouth this planet has to fee is anoter nail in the coffin, save the planet DONT have kids! - Reply to this comment
- The women know how they should vote because they do not want McCain''s court to determine womens'' rights. The "older" women, who have no stakes in their future do not care. Why would an influential group like this endorse the best person unless they know what is right for them and what is right for the country. WE should all look out for the future of our wives, daughters and grand-daughters. Even if you are one of those hard-working white people, think of the consequences for your female loved ones when their rights are all stripped away by McCain and his court.

- Between 2 out of 10 WV voters saying they would never vote for Obama because he is black and some of the idiotic ill-informed comments on this post, I beginning to doubt there is much hope for our country...

- Knew this endorsement was coming after Barak Obama would rather punish his own grandchildren with the most HEINOUS death a little baby boy or girl could possibly be made to endure alive (WITH OUT ANESTHESIA),....rather than make his daughters to live with the bed she made. Just crucify the innocent child instead of the guilty fornicator. What a way to treat your posterity. Bet his grandchildren will look away from him someday with deserved disrespect when their understanding of matters kicks in.

- "With this being such a hot topic, I''''m truly surprised that Obama would seek this endorsement one way or another. It surely puts him square in the sights of those who oppose this. And could hurt him down the road. "

- singingrick, my sentiments exactly. It is a lame idea, abortion, but what right do I have to force some woman who is 2 weeks pregnant to give birth because of my beliefs.

- Yet ANOTHER picture of Un-Humble Obama''s annoying smiling facial expressions.
And Obama isn''t a breath of fresh air. He is a breath of polluted septic air. - Reply to this comment
- Could someone please explain why Obama is such a breath of fresh air? Throughout his entire campaign he hasn''t proposed anything new. His policies are nearly identical to Hillary''s, which boil down to giving away a lot of money. That sounds like a typical politician.
In San Fransico, he was caught pandering to his base in his ''bitter'' speech. That''s pretty typical
His voting record is old-school liberal, and he''s already broken a promise. He said he was going to accept public financing for the general election, but now says they have created a ''parallel public financing system.'' So, now it seems he is not going to accept public financing. That is pretty convenient considering ''parallel'' system generates a lot more money.
That leaves us with a politician who is breaking a promise because there is money in it. Isn''t that what a typical politician would do? - Reply to this comment
If, like me, you don''t believe in abortion, you should never have one. But don''t force your choice and your morality on others.- Reply to this comment
- Here is certainly a good place for the bleeding heart conservatives to post their opinion.

- obama for privacy rights (ie, abortion)?
In Iowa in October of 2007, Obama, speaking on abortion, told an audience that it is a privacy concern and the woman should be able to choose.
However, in cases of sexual assault, his Illinois Senate Bill (# 0943) ignores the privacy and choice concerns of the victim.
This bill states that in a sexual assault case, a hospital is required to conduct appropriate medical examinations and laboratory tests, whether the victim wants them or not. This bill replaces the previous version where the woman had to consent to the examinations.
Similarly, this bill requires the hospital to share all of this information with law enforcement authorities, whether the victim wants them to or not. Again, this clause replaces the %u2018with the victim%u2019s consent%u2019 clause of the previous version. - Reply to this comment
- Obama not only voted against the ban on partial birth abortions. He even refused to support a measure that would protect the lives of babies that are accidentally born live during an abortion procedure. After all, nobody should have to live with the consequences of their mistakes - especially him!

- The Obama factor brings a capacity to challenge our political stagnation and harness upbeat energy of new prospects embodied by the American dream, before it becomes the easy to envision American nightmare.
America is undergoing change. Denial of change or to argue against change on the grounds that it somehow implies a contradiction of American values is stubborn imprudence. A philosophical change realized through this candidate may be worth a gamble to win back our hopes and dreams.
If voters have to conclude that change in politics is just an illusion, a pathetic theme echoed election after election then what is the point of our democratic way of life. President selection is not a backroom bequest to a narrow circle of an elite few dynasties.
Obama is our modern day political icon stepping up to carry the blazing torch of political transformation whatever it means to the mountain top of American politics for all to see. Ironically this achievement alone shows encouraging change is possible in our noble nation.
Barack Obama could be assimilated into the lobby riddled political mire like being in the midst of a Borg incursion or Obama may just break the mode enough to bring a spark of optimism into the enigmatic Washington DC mushroom factory.
Its up to Obama to take the party nomination and demonstrate in unfeigned deeds not vain words on how remarkable or flawed America can be if one is given the ultimate opportunity to serve all the citizens. - Reply to this comment
- My choice is pro-choice and pro-intellectualism. I don''''t want someone with less insight than I telling me how to live or what to think.

"Insight" is a relative term. As is "intellectualism".
As an intellectual, under what conditions would you tolerate the extreme action of terminating a fetus? Or, perhaps, under which conditions would you not? - Reply to this comment
