I like Bill Cosby, and I agree with a lot of what he has to say. Although, I think that he is a bit out of touch with the average black man, being a millionaire showbiz type for over 40 years, but I like that he is offering some constructive guidance. I think the biggest problem for young African Americans is the celebration of the gangster rap culture of ignorance and imprisonment.....

Chitown, I have to agree with you on this. What was on my mind is a case where I worked about 20 years ago. A woman retired who was secretary to the manager of finance and a certain black woman wanted the job and went to the local NAACP and they helped her get the job. She was not qualified and cost the company a lot of money. Later they caught her stealing and fired her and nothing anyone could do about that. This same woman had a boy that worked there and he was sending flowers to his girl friend and charging it to the company, which was a stupid thing too do. He also was fired. I felt like the company bent over backward to help them, but they took advantage of every thing. There was another black man there that was promoted because he was very smart and he made a very good employee and everyone liked him. This guy is my friend today. His wife is tops also.

Chicken - I don''t care what color you are (I highly doubt that you are black, and for some reason you assume I''m not either), a racist is a racist. Nuff said.

"I think the biggest problem for young African Americans is the celebration of the gangster rap" From what I''ve observed, the "white" teens are really into this too. Seems to be more of an attitude thing than a color thing lately.

Our biggest goal should be to get Corporate America out of the hall of Congress, and let Congress do the business of the People!!!

"The Gov. does not care about the average american people. That would be me and you, so, please stop talking about it, like we can really do anything about it all."
I''d like to think if we weren''t distracted by hot button issues and at each other''s throats, and focused on what really affects the avg Joe/Jill, we might be able to hold them accountable.

We are only as strong as our weakest link. A direct weakness in one community is a indirect weakness in all communities. GOOD POINT.

chitown639: You need to listen to Bill Cosby. He is a very smart man and he says its time for the black people to get off their lazy buts and help their selves. He also tells you to raise your kids right. Our country gave you a lot of rights after the civil rights act of 1964, but most of you took advantage of it. You still expected everything to be handed to you on a silver platter. I have seen many instances where black people were very successful and also I have seen several time where they were put in positions that they were not qualified for just because of affirmative action. Many times they could not do the job, but just stayed on as dead wood. You need to read what Cosby has to say.

do admire John McCain and his heroic service to this country. Fighting for the rights and freedom of the Vietnamese People, when the blacks who served with him in that war couldnt enjoy the same rights he did back home in their own country.... chitown639

You know you really need to get off of this black civil rights thing. The corrupt Gov. is not picking on the black folks, whites are in the same situation. The Gov. does not care about the average american people. That would be me and you, so, please stop talking about it, like we can really do anything about it all.

hungrymama,
The only individuals sleeping with Lary Sinclair are the pipe dreamers believing a lil'''' powder-puff girl can be president. Isn''''t Lary the clown that claimed that he saw an alien spacecraft land on the White House lawn?. lil'''' missy seems to surround herself with hillbillies or pipe dreamers.

What''s wrong with hillbillies? Many of them are rich and don''t have to get food stamps like you to eat. If you would get off your fanny and go to work you might amount to something some day.

croft777,

The only woman that looks like a man in her pant-suits is lil'' missy. Now you be respectful of the next First Lady, Michelle Obama. Where''s your manners? Hopefully not back in the deep backwoods on HillBillie mountain.

Joe, honestly it seems to me that while Fox is obviously right leaning, just as Air America is left, most of the other outlets just hire newscasters to represent one faction or another and pit them against each other. There is a market for Fox, just like there is for Air America (and nobody should be trying to eliminate either under freedom of speech), but I would really prefer to see a lot less bias of any type in the major news networks, and a LOT more of REAL investigative journalism. It''s all become a big infotainment circus.

First Lady Michelle Obama may offer lil'''' missy a position in the White House kitchen; and, also there''''s talk that old man granda-pa McCain may be offered a groundskeeping position to maintain the White House lawn. Word on the street is that First Lady Michelle will have several "blankies" available should the old geezer need another daily nap.BLKPRESIDENT

You know Blacky, you''re not funny any more. What is up with you and Michelle Obama? Truly that woman reminds me of'' "Aerosmiths song:Dude Looks Like a Lady" Are you sure the Amazon woman is really a woman, or is it a man dressed in disquise?

America is faced with only three choices left:

A. an old man, who is a grave risk to sleep through criticl intelligence briefings vital to America''s safety.

B. a suspect candidate who can only appeal to a minor segment of mainstream America.

C. Mr. Obama

With this being the case, why are we still debating about who the best choice is when it is so obvious?

csp66....yes, the mass media can influence the election, thats why its important not to let the democrats get away with trying to eliminate the few conservative media outlets left, such as fox and ???, otherwise the media would be controlled by liberal biased outlets, such as TedTurner-TNN, CNN, ABC, CBS, etc. and they could really influence an election, we need to have balance

The next president has to be able to lead a whole nation; seems lil'''' missy can only get the attention of the HillBillies. What next, a hoe down at the White House featuring lil'''' missy and The Moonshine Boys? If lil'''' missy wants to drink moonshine she should do it on her own time. The next president has a couple of wars to manage and won''''t have time to rub shoulders with "Ma" & "Pa", Ellie Mae, Granny, Cousin Jethro, Willie Nelson, etc.
