I envision fistfights at polling places among young people trying to cut in front to be first to vote for Big John McBush.

I''m voting for the only true family man in this election. Family values are supposed to matter according to Cons, so I have to vote for Barack Obama. He''s the only true family values candidate still in contention.

Not only did McCain forget to keep his marriage vows to his disabled wife before dumping her for a super-rich trophy wife who later stole drugs to feed a personal habit, look at his current behavior:
McCain forgot that Al-Qaeda is Sunni and Iranians are Shia.
McCain forgot for a moment that the Iraq War wasn''''t about oil.
McCain forgot that he was for his immigration bill.
McCain forgot that he didn''''t like lobbyist influence in politics.
McCain forgot that he didn''''t like the voices of intolerance on the right.
McCain forgot that he was for a short troop presence in Iraq.
McCain''''s age is an issue.

Seems to me that Cons made not just the Clinton lie but the act of adultery itself a major point of contention back in the late 90s in their "we''re the party of family values" facade. But, if anyone dares act just like many Cons of the late 90s did when it comes to judging a politician, we''re in error because Clinton did it.

When did Johnnie go to Congress - was it before 1984 or after? 1982 he was in the House and in 1986 he ran for the senate. So - Is Johnnie paying Social Security or is he under CSRS ?

When Clinton did it, there were no fair excuses for it with Cons. When McCain, Giuliani, Reagan, etc. did/do it, it''s okay because Clinton did it.

McCain collects Social Security he clearly does not need, while accepting a senator''s income of 161k, sucking it out of the system meant for we ''regular'' people who will be in need of some income assistance after retirement to help with the rising cost of inflation and basic necessities. Essentially, he''s stealing from our government. Is that the kind of President we want??

He is also getting military retirement pay...

''stealing'' from the gov?? Um..no...he pays into the system just like you and I thus it''''s an entitlement - that''s like saying mike went to school and paul did not, so mike should pay paul''s bills

and you one work and collect their social security...people do it all the time.

We need four more years of Bush policy.People like you haven''t lost enough yet for real change.Obama and Clinton will do nothing to upset the apple cart, and will be merely a bandaid.I am voting for McCain so that things will get worse. We should be publicly whipping these *** on the whitehouse lawn, not trying to decide which one will do the least damage.

These polls have ZERO credibility. Anyone with a brain knows not a single young person is gonna vote for the disaster known as McBush!

It is a typo....the margin of error is more like 94.9%

sbbm....Yes, they''ll let you work and draw Social Security. They''ll let me make a whole 100.00 a week, before taxes, before they start taking my social security away. That would be just wonderful. Fortunately my wife and I worked our arses off and bought property and land so we have something to fall back on but if we didn''t have that where would we be. My wife isn''t worth over 100 million dollars. Vote for John if you feel you must. We''ll find out in November if the American people want the same thing that we have now. I"m betting they are smarter than that.

Why is McCain drawing social security? I get 1100.00 per month and they won''t let me work without losing part of it. His military pension he earned..I have no problem with that and if he didn''t have a full time job as a Senator I wouldn''t have a problem with his social security although I understand it''s over 23 thousand a year. And I''m not jealous of his income so don''t you right wingers come back with that. And it''s OK that his wife is a multi-millionaire...I understand that they''re, "just folks". And finally, easeltine...Show me where Obama is an "Islamic plant". You guys always trot out the same tired old lies with NO proof. Obama''s wife never said she "hated" America. You just make ***** up and hope that the feble minded will believe it. Obama has never said, "out of Iraq in 160 days, no matter what". Yes, he wants to get us out of there but not in a careless unthought out way. Most of us want to get out of there but we all know it will take time. We have let you republicans walk over us for the last 7 plus years and I for one am through with that. You are like the schoolyard bully and you ain''t takin my lunch money anymore. You might win but by God you''re gonna know you''ve been a fight this time. No more "Mr.Nice Guy".

Auction is open now to the lowest bidder for our country, against the next 4years'' president position.

-Clintoon and Chewing-Gum-McCane are fighting to please the AIPAC-controlled Press and Media. Forgetting the true National interest of America!

-McCane will become JesusSuperStar and Clintoon Catwoman in order to attract young voters! Obama will be described as tarnished Old wise Mandela!

McCain has disagreed with Bush on many things including Iraq. He promoted the idea of more boots on the ground two years before it actually happened and the surge became a success. i call that a visionary.

Posted by mbcsmith at 05:12 PM

Sure it was a success---as long as the cease fire was in place!

Posted by liberalme at 05:52 PM : May 12, 2008

To bad there isn''t a way to check the number of patrols before the surge and the number of patrols after the surge.
