Didn''t one of those Kennedy''s get a "pass" and headed to drug re- hab after driving his car into a the Congress Building ? I care about people. This guy must have had some conflict at home that made him look elsewhere for his needs. What role did his wife play in this ? Did she support him, was she a loving toward him ? So many times, we blame the person who is just trying to cope, while the bonds of fidelity were broken by another.
I say, let''s not judge this man. We need to know what strain he was under, and who was not there for him.
I am a feminist professor.

I was going to suggest he could become a Republican but he''s already one so he''s home free!

Hey ask David Vitter!

Republicans get a free pass with sexual escapades because they have God on their side!

Rep. Vito Fossella is the ''gift that keeps giving''!

Why would the Dems want to force him out?! They don''t.
Let him stay, along with Craig & Vitter, and in the Fall run a nice juicy campaign ad reminding the public what sexual perverts the Republicans are!

And, insinuate that''s a BIG PART of why very little gets done---because the GOP members are too busy getting in trouble breaking laws that the citizenry is expected to obey! It''s sweet campaign fodder!

No, if he gets kicked out, it''ll be by GOP members!
And they probably should because it''s likely he''ll lose his seat now anyway! At least, they could line someone up for it in the future.

The most pious neocons seem to always be the ones with a "bit o'' crumpet" on the side. And it''s REALLY ODD that there hasn''t been any right-wing outcry over all those pregnant Mormon teens and their abused brothers...

What stinking, miserable hypocrites!!

Why can''t he stay? Vitter and Craig are staying and they each used prostitutes or tried to pick up gayyy men in bathrooms- each of those little "sins" had to include multiple indiscretions of the "NASTY"...if the GOP can stomach that, they can stomach a man boinking the same woman over a period of years and producing a child.

Look at it this way--maybe he was loyal to his wife and mistress (going for the Romney mormon multiple wife angle) and he did not make his lover get an abortion (give that man 10 points for pro life)

Republicans--ya gotta love ''em. rotflmao.

In admitting the affair and a secret child Thursday, the Republican lawmaker indicated he planned to stay in Congress for months to come, but there are signs he could be out much sooner: House Minority Leader John Boehner pointedly said he expected Fossella to make a decision about his future this weekend.

Just one question why is it the family value party of god never resigns but always tries to force the Democrats to resign and say that they would if it happens to them.

Just another neo con doing what comes natural stealing, cheating and the sorts great values.

Had enough...I have along with a whole lot of others.

drmaqazi - it is also human nature to rise above some of our inherent weaknesses. Especially when some of them are family values-based. While individual responsibility is inevitable, our society that foists (amongst other things) sexuality in its media is a contributing factor too.

"Secluded with his family, . . ." WHICH FAMILY - his wife of his mistress? Let''s just hope he does NOT drag his wife out so she can be even more humiliated like all the other parades we have seen recently!

Re. Post by drmaqazi at 12:55 PM : May 11, 2008
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
drmaqazi,
The bible is full of evidence that man is no less an animal than wild creatures, or even domestic livestock.
Nature demands reproduction through the genetic control of ALL animals, including humans.
Nature created the massive herds of buffalo, cattle, Deer, etc. because of unavoidable (natural) instincts, while controlling inbreeding through the competition factor.
Generally, the males of each species have always fought for the pleasure of servicing the female of the species, although in some species the female may be the aggressor.
Only man has written laws and/or moral rules governing the process (which obviously started back in biblical times).
