SHURCH4TRUTH said: "time and again [red-state voters from the south and midwest] keep voitng to put republicans in the White House not realizing that doing so is not in their best interest. They are minipulated by the republicans through propaganda"

Actually, they are manipulated by MORE than just propaganda. While there is no such thing as ''welfare'' for inner city moms, for Republicans, they are VERY generous to the Red-State rural voters you mentioned.

Blue state:
California, 0.79
Connecticut, 0.66
New Jersey, 0.55
New York, 0.79
Rhode Island, 1.02
Massachusetts, 0.77

Red State:
West Virginia, 1.83
Mississippi, 1.77
Oklahoma, 1.48
Montana, 1.58
Tennessee, 1.30
Kansas, 1.12

That''s how much each of these states gets in Federal Spending per tax dollar sent to the Feds.
from: http://www.taxfoundation.org/research/show/266.html

Rural, red-state voters simply don''t feel the PAIN felt by urban blue-state voters, because Republicans make sure their roads are paved, their electricity stays on, their bridges are repaired, etc. THEY think THEY did all That. But, the statistics above show they are heavily subsidized by blue states by their ''small government'' republican congressmen. So, they KEEP voting Red.

The working class is always the most conservative group in society. It was true in Nazi Germany and it''s true today in the U.S.

How could he? Why would he? Someone give him a one-way bus ticket back to Crawdad, Texas, before America is no more.

SHURCH4TRUTH said: "although I like John McCain he would just be another GW. "

True dat. John McCain should have been Prez the last 8 years (if Gore couldn''t have been). He''s a Great American!! Sadly, he was ''swiftboated'' by Cheney/Rove in 2000, long before most Americans knew what kind of cancer was infecting the Republican Party.

NOW??? At this time, any vote for a Republican is a vote backwards. This country needs RAPID change to get OVER the Bush disaster, and that will ONLY happen with clear, uncontested Dem victories everywhere in the Federal government. Remember, no matter how many Dems win now in the Legislative or Executive, the Judicial branch is now HOPELESSLY infected with Bush neocons, and it will take time to get the poison out of that unelected branch of government.

SHURCH4TRUTH said: "Mr. Bush claimed he was smarter than they [economists predicting recession] were and said... everything was OK."

Well, Bush might be right. His stimulus package can stimulate spending during the ''free-n-easy'' summer spending months, leading to profits and stock market gains. Come the Fall, when everyone realizes that it was all paid for by expanding the National Debt (something Bush has done all his 2 terms), that they''ll still have to PAY for this stimulus at some future time, or their children will (plus interest, the rich have to get their cut for loaning us the money after all), OUCH!! Of course, Bush will be vacating Pennsylvania Ave by then so, NO WORRIES!!

One hopes that at SOME point the American people will begin to realize what kind of ''house of cards'' republicans have been building for them the last 8 years, but, honestly, we seem incapable of responding in any kind of organized fashion to anything that isn''t staring us in the face (an expected benefit of making working people work 50+ hrs/week).

The federal spending deficit this year is going to top $600 billion. There are about 150 million federal taxpayers in this country. That works out to $4000 borrowed on behalf of each taxpayer this year.

The national debt is now at $9.4 trillion. Interest payments on that debt are running at $406 billion per year. That works out to $2700 per taxpayer this year.

Bush signed every last spending bill that crossed his desk and added almost $4 trillion to the national debt. Bush has been the most fiscally irresponsible president in the history of the United States and we will be paying for it for years to come. That will be his legacy.

"Bush Defends His Economic Record"

He might as well no one else will except those who he help hustle our government for billions creating the largest deficit in US history.

Bush''s economic record, like that of his role as commander in chief is one of disastrous failure that has cost the American taxpayer several trillion dollars.

The hard-won lessons of the Chinese communists haven''t been lost on Raul Castro, new leader of Cuba. Privatize your country, turn your poor into serfs for global corporations, and YOU TOO can keep your communist dictatorship intact!!!

Ya see: America doesn''t actually care whether you''re COMMUNIST OR NOT!!! Just open your economy up to corporate America and we''ll stuff whatever money you want into your communist dictatorship.

Hey, we support dictatorships ALL OVER THE WORLD in the name of corporate business interests!! Fascist, communist, islamist. Makes no difference to us!!

LMAO... A NEOCON troll calling someone a troll. Just like NEOCONs... You have no original thoughts at all. Side step the real issues and try to point blame at someone else. The reason this country is in such a mess is directly due to your STUPIDITY and STUBORNESS. Go crawl back under the rock you slithered out from....

20 of the last 28 years we have had Republican Presidents. If you haven''t figured out by now who is sticking to you, please move to a communist nation. Communists love the working poor. A small super rich class, no middle class, and peasants who will work for food. Welcome to America 2008. Thanks George and fellow Greedapublicans.

Give China free trade, American manufacturing leaves America for Chinese peasants who work for food, could care less about health care, are blindly obedient for fear of being executed, and American companies can pour toxic chemicals right into the air, ground, and water. What a savings! Just think of all the money the people who are already obnoxiously wealthy will make exploiting the least of our brother in 3rd world countries. The best part is the Greedapublicans are creating a working class right here in America that is happy to just have any old job. More of the least of our brother to exploit in the future.

We need to declare bankruptcy on our war debt, pull out of Iraq, impeach bush and his regime and let the war time trials begin.
