...And if apolitical beings such as myself find his voluntary association with Wright, so close that he even titled his book "The Audacity of Hope" after one of his sermons, as a political death nail then his political future, for now, is clouded, and perhaps ended.......

WELL SAID!

And please believe me, I wish him no ill will. And in fact, and I am not being facetious, I believe that with another ten years of experience, and an opportunity for him to decide on and solidify his own true beliefs, he could be a formidable fighter for humanity.

But for now, he can only bring disgrace and defeat to the Democratic party.

Why wouldn''t bush leave the white house peacefully ? I would think he has been planning his escape for some time now. I am wondering where he will go to think he can live safely when he leaves.

Is "Rev." Wright the Judas of Obama?

All except, he had 20 years to "vet" Wright, while attending his
lunatic hate-speech church services at TUCC...

during the speech in phill he said he had never heard of the snippets played over and over again

it was confirmed that indeed he was not present during the sermon(press would have taken him to task if indeed he was present)

rev during his interview with Moley said he had never heard Obama repeat any of his controversial statements

we go to church as sinners and we go to church for spiritual gain. please enough is enough. its time we vet the two other candidates about which church and pastors they have been attending for the last 20 yrs,-fair is fair

What kind of Faustian bargain did Hillary strike with Republicans and the corporate media to elicit this kind of saturated coverage?

There is no way Rev. Wright can believe that his public appearance in Norfolk, Va., D.C. and other place is helping Obama''s campaign. Nope, Jeremiah is in it for himself; not free speech and not to defend the black church, but to fix himself up as part of the new "black guard". Last year when the President of Philadelphia Chapter of the NAACP wrote an editorial in the Philadelphia Inquirer complaining about the Eagles'' QB Donovan McNabb''s leadership in the locker, his ability to scramble as opposed to passing the ball and whether it was his fault that the troublemaker T.O. left the team, in a city who''s black children are mired in the worst school system north of Baltimore and black bodies dropping in the streets due to a gross increase of gun crimes, what could possibly be the mission of the black leadership in that or any other struggling city in America. Black people deserve better, but we must demand better. NO LEADERSHIP WITHOUT SERVICE. (posted elsewhere)

The black conservative Stanford University/ Hoover Institute fellow, Shelby Steele, was one of the first to volley a bomb at Obama, not on policy difference, though there may be, but on the way he''d address black audiences as opposed to white ones. The funny thing is that he''s said nothing about Bill sleeping during the MLK service in Atlanta or when Hillary used slave and plantation narratives and metaphors in NYC at Abyssinian Baptist last fall. Mr. Steele, a right wing, Bush supporter needs liberal foils. The black, left elite gives him purpose and like the NAACP, the cure would hurt him just as badly. I don''t mind him attacking Obama''s position or ideology, just not the personal, empty ones. When Tavis Smiley and Bob "BET" Johnson slimed him a few months ago, policy never came up. Smiley for not showing up to his dog and pony show in New Orleans and Johnson, well he''s just not a smart man no matter how much money he made pimping black women''s body image.

Obama circumvented the black elite''s gateway to power by riding the wave of white political support, thereby, freezing out the usual suspects who control the issues of race and collective black victim hood in America. Farakhan knows *** well that his endorsing Mr. Obama''s candidacy brings the heavy weight of media, white and institutional scrutiny to his detriment. At the same time, placing themselves front and center in the public''s view. Let us remember where one''s power comes from; it comes from those behind the scene who are able to dispense it. Obama''s prominence derives from whites, not blacks, so, of course, Sharpton and Andrew, Smiley and Wright loss influence the more he succeeds without them and their influence derives from our suffering. Love it or not, the NAACP''s entire existence comes from the trials and tribulations the we blacks face day-to-day. Any wonder that they''ve been around for one hundred years, yet not many of their policy objectives have been to our advantage (four decades of failed integration and bussing, affirmative action).

There is something else happening regardless of Clintonistas, DNC or whatever other conspiracy one can think of. This is a strange but unified coming together of black elites of all persuasions, before the public, trying to make this man%u2019s presidential run harder. Liberal and conservative; religious and secular; business and not-for-profits. Organized is the "push back" by prominent black "leaders" in media (T. Smiley) and enterprise (Bob Johnson), Civil Rights (NAACP: Julian Bond; A. Young). From the right: Shelby Steele, referring to Obama''s accent and form of speech. When Hillary Clinton complains and attack Barack''s "SPEECHIFYING". Where does that word come from? It ain''t a knitting club term. There is a new BLACK GUARD sisters and brothers. They%u2019re the ones kissing the hand and backside of Bill Clinton in support of his wife. The very man that took Obama''s victory in S.C. as a misguided march by the very same black folk that brought "Jesse" his only substantive victory in 1984''s Democratic campaign. It%u2019s no surprise to me because I can%u2019t remember very much Bill Clinton did as president that helped blacks in the first place, though we really can%u2019t expect too much from the federal government.

It''s official!

Barack Obama is now a Clinton supporting racist who took reverand Wright''s comments out of context. Heck, Barack probably wouldn''t vote for Wright anyway.

All of this is the fault of Hillary Clinton. And she also created HIV to harm the blacks. She also was responsible for flying planes into the World Trade Towers. Hillary is the cause of everything evil, just ask the Obama supporters.

Rowdy,, We''ve both watched McCain for years, keep watching him, now he''s catering to the Reagan Dems, & he''s no Reagan..... He''s a neo-con & well connected to the defense industries & lobbyists. Worst thing is he''s party loyal & one that continues to outsource our national security assets.
