I want every freaking Black Liberation Preaching and believing *** in the United States that believes that Americans owe you reparation for slavery to go visit these places and get down on your God d/a/m/n knees at every grave and tell THEM how much I owe you! I am sick of hearing this blasphemy against my country who pitted family against family, brother against brother and freed your sorry a/s/ses so you can preach your racist sermons in your God d/a/m/n churchs! - Reply to this comment

- People are saying Obama has the same beliefs as Rev. Wright due to guilt by association.....However, several Catholic Priest have been charged and convicted of child molestation...The members continue to go to the catholic church??? Also should the members be accused of having thoughts of child molestion due to guilt by association???

- The Tuskegee Experiment: between 1932 and 1972 399 black men who had syphiis were part of an experiment conducted by the US Health Department. These were poor uneducated black men were not told that they had syphilis and were not given treatment just so the United States Government could see how the syphilis affected black men. Sounds crazy doesn''t it. It''s hard to believe that this could happen in America, but it did.
When Rev Wright said that the government had something to do with speading HIV it might sound crazy but so did the Tuskegee Experiment. - Reply to this comment
- Unfortunately, everytime the Rev. Wright opens his mouth, Obama loses thousands of white votes. That Wright panders to blacks psyches is too easy to read. Obama is not where Wright''s bread gets buttered. Besides being a man of the church, Wright is a businessman and as such plays to those who pay.
Still, I, a 72 year old white veteran, can make the distinction between Wright and Obama.
Compared to the evil and conniving Hillary and the "more of the same" McCain, Obama would be a breath of fresh air in Washington. - Reply to this comment
- Hasn''t the media beaten this dead horse enough yet? This "story" is a media creation in the first place and is so old and stale that it has flies. Bury it and move on to real news.

- It''s fair to say that Rev. Jeremiah Wright''s new found national celebrity has done some damage to Barack Obama''s campaign. Obama has slipped around three poll points in Indiana, North Carolina, nationally, and in a match up against John McCain in the last few days. But I have watched a couple of interveiws with Rev. Wright recently, with most of the sermons in question included, and it is clear that the quotes that are causing all the controversy were taken way out of context. It seems that it is easier for some to jump on the racist and unpatriotic passages of Rev. Wright''s message without understanding the deeper meaning of what he was saying. He was simply preaching the way that many black pastors preach and what he says is really not all that out of line if people would take the time to do a little research and listen to the whole sermons and not just a couple of politically motivated edits of Wright''s discourses. It''s true that Wright seems to be enjoying the spotlight and continues to make coarse statements to his own advantage, (book deal maybe?), at Obama''s expense, but that only demonstrates the dissociation between the two. They have completely different agendas.

- POLL: CLINTON HAS BETTER CHANCE THAN OBAMA OF BEATING McCAIN
By Liz Sidoti, Associated Press
Hillary Rodham Clinton has a better chance than Barack Obama of beating Republican John McCain, according to a new Associated Press-Ipsos poll that bolsters her argument that she is more electable in the fall than her rival for the Democratic nomination.
The survey released Monday gives Clinton a fresh talking point as she works to convince pivotal undecided superdelegates to side with her in the drawn-out Democratic primary fight.
Clinton, who won the Pennsylvania primary last week, has gained ground this month in a hypothetical head-to-head match up with the GOP nominee-in-waiting; she now leads McCain, 50 percent to 41 percent, while Obama remains virtually tied with McCain, 46 percent to 44 percent. - Reply to this comment

Still, I, a 72 year old white veteran, can make the distinction between Wright and Obama. Wright panders to his black constituents which buy his bread and butter.

- This country is ruled more by the corperations then anything. Laws pass making the poor even poorer, polluting, violating rights, offering bad pay and insurance, people work hard trying to make a living and it goes into the pockets of the rich. The gap between the rich and poor is greater then any other time in history. Minimum wage isn''t enough to live, people are dying because they can''t afford medicine, the numbers of crime, homeless, and unemployed are huge, children cannot get decent school books among other things in most public schools, not to mention the shootings. America should be the important issue.
You don''t have to agree with everything Rev. Wright says (nobody agrees 100% with someone, I am sure Obama doesn''t either.) many of the things he has said Americans may not like to hear but are true. Rev. Wright speaks out against the government on these issues because at the moment they and their policies are the source of the problem that need fixing as are the rich corperations who push for these policies that the elected officials cahootz with.
America is great but not perfect, America has a lot of problems, the things he said may not be politically correct or sweet to hear but they are the truth, they cannot be fixed until we admit them. - Reply to this comment
- Pride goes before the fall, right Rev Wright? I believe in speaking out against social injustice. But a unifying voice Rev. Wright is not! Just another racist supporter who TALKS love but WALKS divisiveness. Thanks Rev for demonstrating yet MORE racism from the pulpit thinly veiled under "Afrocentric theology from Cone". You mock the questions today and your audience was an embarassment to the rest of the thinking black world. And by the way, lose the term "African American" please! It''s so 60''s.
It%u2019s amazing how Wright cannot just answer a question%u2013 he insists on mocking the questions, the reporters, the media, etc. And quite frankly the crowd is not much better. This guy is an embarrassment, I don%u2019t care if he served in the military or not. I%u2019m sick of his racist attitude that he attempts to couch in %u201Creligiosity%u201D. If Wright was a white pastor and said half of the things that Wright has said, it would be an abomination. It%u2019s people like Wright that help keep racism alive and well in this Country. - Reply to this comment
