I LOVE it!!!

I love how people nit-pick everything Obama says......

Wonder what the criticism would sound like if these people turned their contempt for Obama on BUSH!!!! ***.

NO one would have voted for him right?

These commenters exemplify with their comments the very ignorance in America Obama spoke of in his historic speech.

Nitpicking is all the GOP has been reduced to and it''s an example of their own failures........sad example of the state of maturity in our country......

Why though? Everyone is entitled to free speech, I thought. Plus I''''ve seen some really vitriolic bloggers, who time and time again post inflammatory comments without sanction it seems. Finally how did you get your name back? Jwind11 did not.

..........

He dropped the "h" out of his name. This is one reason why you see people have numbers in their names that change frequently.

I, on the other hand, just chose a new name to replace the old one that... one day... seemed to be eliminated from the CBSnews.com database, (USAyesterday).

Damm those self-righteous college interns!

Barack is absolutely correct. We''re drowning in a sea of incompetency and neglect for doing what is right. Our appointed leaders are a bunch of sniveling cowards and greed-mongers.

Who ordered the all important carriers out to sea on that day then? Or perhaps it was purely a co-incidence?

Obama has a point. Oil prices are hurting us everywhere and our leaders do nothing! I''m sure Bush and Cheney are making money hand over fist while we cut back on everything just so we can drive to work and back. Things are getting bad!

I support Obama. He''s smart, thoughtful and has practical common sense ideas. I hope Americans are smart enough to see that in November.

NBC NEWS -- Chuck Todd April 24, 2008

NBC News has learned that a major fundraiser for Hillary Clinton, former Ambassador to Chile, Gabriel Guerra-Mongragon, is LEAVING the campaign to JOIN the Barack Obama campaign. Officially dubbed as a "Hillraiser", Guerra-Mondragon raised nearly $500,000 for the Clinton campaign, according to some estimates. He has been informing people inside Clintonworld this week in what''s been described as some tough conversations. A formal announcement of a role for Guerra-Mondragon on Obama''s national finance committee will be made next week. Guerra-Mundragon was appointed Ambassador to Chile by President Clinton in 94'' and served until 98''.

Among the reasons for Guerra-Mondragon to defect, according to one informed source, was he was UNEASY WITH THE TONE OF THE CLINTON CAMPAIGN and was beginning to worry about what this would mean for the general election.

There is a reason why a great many of the Clinton cabinet members and long-time friends, have left the Clinton campaign, and endorsed Barack, ie. Bill Richardson, Robert Reight, Frederico Pena, Norman Mineta, William Daley, I don''t have space to list more.

Go to michaelmoore.com to read about the Clinton''s inviting Rev Wright to the Oval office for "spiritual counseling" during the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

You still just taking that FOOL''s word for everything! It has occurred to you yet that he lies does it?

Obama is swilling in oil money donations, the only energy bill he EVER proposed didn''t do a freaking thing to the energy company! He got so much pressure after he wrote the *** thing, that he had to nullify everything in it! It wasn''t worth the paper it was written on!

Some time you need to check out his record, and STOP listening to his *** words! They''re north worth even the hot air he uses will swill them!

Prinzowhales-- Whats your take on Pearl harbor? Was it a conspiracy by the US to get into the War, so they ignored all warnings of an attack from the Japanese. The very fact that all the US Navy''s carriers of the Pacific Fleet were out at sea on the day of the attack, hence survived unscathed, says a lot to me.

Maybe Obama will ask some of his gas swilling special interests people to donate their vacation homes to people in the US losing theirs...now wouldln''t that be a plan?

Or maybe he could convince them to take a cut in salary from their gas swilling corporations?

Or maybe he could just take those gas swilling donations he got and start up a fund for people who can''t afford to buy gas to go to work?

Or maybe he could''ve convinced his gas bag friend Rezko to provide heat in those slums he built for them to live in during one of the coldest winters in Chicago history?

Obama supported Big Oil in 2005 when he and the Democrats prevented drilling in the Alaskan Wildlife Refuge...two Republicans helped them.

Nearly 10 years ago, GM killed the electric car...it could get 300 miles to a charge and consumers loved it...GM crushed the cars...Big Oil bought up battery patents to prevent the competition of electric cars.

Just think where we would be today if the US government had acted "pre-emptively..."proactively" for the sake of the American consumer and spent a trillion dollars on electric cars, solar farms and wind farms...instead of on the murder and maiming of thousands of Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis...

Callow Americans....when you vote for Demopublicans, you vote for the Oligarchy!

Prinzowhales - While my Roman History is now rather sketchy, I do know that the Roman Empire did survive for 5 centuries( I seriously doubt that this nations hegemony will last that long) after that set back. The problem with the Hood was that it was a very old ship, also it was not a battleship it was a fast Battle Cruiser, that had no decking Armour so the Bismark''s shells crashed right through it''s decks and into the ships magazine. I blame Churchill for the loss of the Prince.
