Bottom Line: 9 delegates gained in a state created for Hillary. Still half million popular votes behind. For the Democrats, come November, it''s the second coming of McGovern. Only this time Mc will Govern.

I think that Obama can win both Indiana and North Carolina. Then we can put the Rev. Wright BS and the "Obama called you bitter" *** to rest.

Possible right. However there is always more stories waiting to Break.
What about Obama and Wrights Ties to ISM. Since Hannity broke the rev wright story , I have been emailing him the ISM information. Coming to theatre this Summer near you. LOL

canadafreepress.com/index.php/ archives/2007/09

Basically, the ISM will take anyone who will go to the West Bank and Gaza and become a human shield for the PLO and its thugs. The ISM seeks out any counterculture movements, college communists, anarchists, anyone with a %u201Cgripe%u201D as allies against Israel and the United States, imaginary or otherwise. Disaffected Jews are especially prized by the ISM to legitimize their goal of driving out the Jews from the Middle East so as to conceal their blatant anti-Semitism. Jews who ally with the ISM are frequently secular radical socialists who use their ancestry as a weapon against other Jews, the same as the Jewish Police in the Warsaw Ghetto during World War 2. This site will deal with the ISM''''s use of "Jewish" activists to aid their fifth column to destroy both Israel and eventually America.

Sigh....another reader who only scans a post and jumps to conclusions. I never said war was good for the ecomomy...another poster said that the rich profit off the war...I was just pointing out that TEMPORARILY war benefits in SOME ways to a lot of people. You don''t have the corner on not liking wars...so stop being a pompous snob.

I''m only back for a minute and first I''ll say I thank your son for his service and his family for their sacrifice as well. But I did not state a half truth. Number one many of those products are not made in the U.S. any longer. Just ask John McCain. One of his aides just made sure as a lobbyist that a huge contract went to Airbus not Boeing. He knows all about it. This war has been long more than large, it is not spread all over Europe, the Pacific arena and Africa. It is centered in one small place. There has been very little economic benefit from this war. Haliburton and its subsidiaries like Kellogg, Brown and Root have prospered and other private security contractors (mercanaries) have benefited. But Haliburton has moved its corporate offices out of the U.S. and no longer pay U.S. taxes if my understanding is correct. I actually agree with Sharn Cedar (hello Sharn Cedar) that this war has really not brought about any kind of real economic expansion nor physical expansion of any kind. Just like other nations and empires in the past we are discovering that prolonged war is not good for the well-being of a nation. Not politically, economically, mentally, or spiritually. I hope that your son can come home safe and soon and stay here. Eight deployments is way too many.

No, no, you got it all wrong. Bill was WIDE AWAKE with THAT girl - getting the ''TABOO OF TABOOS'' right there IN THE OFFICE. Hey, remember The Speech we all got at work just BEFORE the "Feminist President" GOT IT HIMSELF... Then lying about it on TV just like Nixon... but that was DIFFERENT because Nixon was trying to influence an election... like Hillary did with her Bosnia fairy tale... IMPEACH HILLARY!!!

Oh, wait, we have to wait for her to win the election first. Well, OK, but FIRST THING RIGHT AFTER THAT...

if our nation is foolish enough to give her the presidency, that is. HA! FAT CHANCE.

So Hillary won that crucial vote in Pennsylvania. And on the news, as expected, there''s Hillary. But instead of looking relieved that she wasn%u2019t packing her bags and going home (yet), there she is %u2013 acting like her close brush with political disaster was some kind of TRIUMPH. Sorta like that high school student who is cheering and celebrating for getting a D minus on the big test. %u201CHey, everybuddy! I DIDN%u2019T GET AN F!!!%u201D Hooray for Hillary. And did you hear %u2013 she shot a duck.

sigh, another of the ignorant. Wars are net destructive to the economy, because the productive capabilities are not used to improve future production, but used up in supplies and things that get blown up. Why then was WWII good for the economy? Because that was both a war (bad) and a massive expansion of the American empire, our sphere of influence and trade doubled. Really what happened was war was so bad for Germany and France, that we took their colonies and their trade. WWII was horrible for Europe. Generally, as a rule, wars harm economies. Look at the Soviet Union in Afganistan.

You people of Pennsylvania did nothing to bring yourselves into the 21st Century. Old Ways, Old Fears, Old Woman with "No Hope" for a brighter future for you or your children. You voted for a woman out of FEAR. YOUR heads are in the sand and will remain their till you die. Your undereducated and believe some magic pixie dust will bring you back those jobs. Those Jobs are gone. Get over it and move on.

Congratulations Hillary - she had her first victory in the 2012 primary season which started for her after she lost Texas. Her plan now, given that she cannot compete for the 2008 nomination is to bloody up Obama so much that he loses to McCain and if that happens, she can start campaigning immediately for 2012 with a big I told you so to Howard Dean and the superdelegates. Her campaign has evolved over time and she has now settled in to the arguments that suit her best: Vote for Hillary because she is white and she has ovaries, oh yeah, one more thing - she has experience sleeping with a president - Hey, come to think of it, I know someone with those qualifications who could run against her in 2012...

This war in Iraq is EXACTLY what the experts (the CIA, Pentagon) said it was going to be.

Fools rush in and that is what we did going into Iraq, so calling the people wanting this war stupid or arrogant fits the bill just fine.

The military commanders do not want unnecessary deaths, but right now, they are on the ground in Iraq, by order of President Bush. People are dying all around our troops and they cannot do much about it.

If the experts said it would be this way, why did we not take the time to create a better plan? I think I know part of the reasons: "politics".

The people wanting this war needed it to BEGIN quickly or it might never come to pass.

How unfortunate for our brothers and sisters in the military that they can be wasted along side of Iraqi people without a known, true and just cause.

If you don''t think the public should be up in arms about the US involvement in Iraq then you%u2019re not listening and all the while you will resort to name calling and bashing the dissent to protect your honor for supporting incompetent leaders who push cursory policies.

If you think this war in Iraq is a "war by all those who love freedom" you are sadly mistaken.

Iraq is a fool%u2019s war. Getting out of the fools war will require the fools to be ousted, being replaced by folks who can actually reason.

We might not own Iraq but we certainly are paying for it.

whatithink you are absolutely right. The wealthy benefit from a war economy but no one else does.
Posted by lindaredtail at 03:59 PM : Apr 23, 2008

Tell me you''re not serious? Just who do you think supplies and makes all the equipment, clothing, food, guns, ammunition, planes etc. for the war we are fighting. Those contracts are awarded to U.S. companies who hire people and believe it or not (will wonders never cease!) actually pay people to do the work. Doesn''t benefit anyone but the rich? When you cost of war is discussed no one bothers to mention that much of that money is spent back into OUR ecomomy. Don''t get me wrong, I don''t war this war to continue...I have a son who has been to Iraq and Afganistan at least 8 times (he''s USAF Search & Rescue) but I''m not willing to tell half truths to make a point!

It is perfectly true that an Iraq withdrawal will require something very painful: admitting a colossal strategic mistake. This is the #1 unbearable disgrace for Republicans and all other core backers of the war and occupation. The #2 disgrace would be payment of reparations to Iraq through a UN or World Bank trust. #3 would be the outrage of the post-occupation Iraqi government resolving the oil issue on its own terms, possibly contracting French, Russian, and Chinese firms, while leaving US or UK firms on the sidelines.

Self-denial, vanity, fear to face the music, and greed are at play. It has nothing to do with US security. The fiasco has made us less secure, drained lives and money, and now we are the laughingstock of much of the world.

Don''t believe in polls? Well, how about the value of the US dollar on world exchanges?

Let Iraqis rule Iraq, whether by federation, partition, or unitary state. Any model we impose will crumble the day we leave, whether that occurs now or in 100 years. Iraq will not be pro-US, pro-Israel, or pro-anything we favor so long as we occupy them, or as long as we contrived to have privileged access to their oil.

Medieval Europeans wasted 250 years on their venture. Better to learn from them, plus from Britain''s troubles in Iraq in the 1920s onward, rather than repeat a futile imperial exercise.

The trillion plus we waste in Iraq could have done so much more for our security or economy if spent on just about anything else.

You do like to bring up gender and race topics, don''''t you.
Posted by whatithink at 03:08 PM : Apr 23, 2008

Well Ms "whatithinkIknoweverything" don''t take my word for it....look up the stats on the IRS website. You''re a good one to talk about bringing up race issues. I don''t care what color Obama is...that is irrelevent. I don''t think that''s the case with you. I believe you see yourself as some liberated color blind white saviour of black people. Makes you feel kind of warm and fuzzy about yourself doesn''t it to vote for a black man...regardless of his lack of experience? Sorry but that is the worst kind of racism.
