Ill. Senator Says ABC News Moderators Focused On Trivial Politics
- "Frankly her statement that FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE I CAN BE PROUD OF MY COUNTRY, kinda says a lot.
Also her statement that black people didn''''t have enough sense to vote for a black man until they were told they could, was one of the most stupid things she''''s said to date!

You''re taking both of these out of context and you know it. you are manipulating her words to justify your argument. You know exactly what she meant when she said "this is the first time in my life when she could be proud of her country". She meant that finally in her lifetime the country has started to come around and see that race is no longer a qualifier or disqualifier for the highest office in the nation and that she was proud of how America had grown. You know it and I know it but you still use the out of context talking points to attack her when you know very well her intention is for the good of all the people. - Reply to this comment
- "Because these two use race like some kind of shield! Instead of embracing living in the freest *** country on earth!

So they should just ignore the fact that blacks get treated differently in this country, they should just pretend race doesn''t matter is that what you want? - Reply to this comment
- "Some of my best friends and associates are black people who don''''t consider themselves separate or who hold old stupid grudges against white people!

And you know this because you''ve talked to them about their feelings towards a white America that has treated blacks as second class citizens for 150 years.
So you think then that blacks get the same treatment and the same opportunities as whites. Then why are blacks having such a hard time getting an equal footing with whites? Why is poverty higher amongst black populations than white populations? Why do fewer black students make it to college? Why is it still a big deal when a black person is the CEO of a major company? Why is it historic that a black man is running for President? Why was it historic that a black man was secretary of state 4 years ago? - Reply to this comment
- Then why the irrational attacks and the racist statements?

No, I''m saying that a really smart person would be thanking their stars that can get an education at a school like Princeton and go on and live the American dream, but who hang on to old stupid grudges doesn''t say much about the intellectual capacity of the person being so bound up in it, that she can''t see how well off she is! - Reply to this comment

So you are saying her experiences at Princeton are invalidated that somehow she should have just bucked up and accepted feeling like an outsider because of her color.
It must be kind of like how the first women felt who went to an all male college...kind of like an outsider, kind of like a second class citizen. I''m sure your hatred for blacks hasn''t completely blinded you to an understanding of that kind of feeling.
So in your world is racism ok but sexism isn''t? - Reply to this comment
- And you have some documentation if her "hate whitey" attitude"?
We all know you don''''t like black people, you''''ve said so yourself, what I don''''t understand is why? Was it your upbringing? did your parents hate blacks too?

- Her grades got her to Princeton, a feat you certainly could not equal. You''''ve never read her thesis, if you had you wouldn''''t be making the childish comments you make. Michelle''''s thesis is readily available to anyone who wants to read it. It takes about 10 minutes, I''''m sure your busy schedule can afford that.
