Democratic Hopeful Calls On President To Boycott Opening Ceremony Over Chinese Policy In Tibet And Sudan
- If Bush should skip it, why not the rest of the U.S.? That would put our concerns out there big time. Does anyone really think China would care if that squatter in the White House did not come? China could care less. They know Bush is weak and on his way out.

- Since Hillary has terrific relations with the Chinese, I think she should boycott the Olympics and tell China to go to hell. She can play her politics and Bush will interact with the Chinese when he gets there. See, Pewlosi likes to negotiate with enemies, when Bush does it these clowns call it otherwise.

- A cheeseburger is a hamburger, accompanied with cheese. The cheese is usually sliced, then added a short time before the hamburger finishes cooking to allow the cheese to melt. In America the cheese that makes up a cheeseburger is usually American cheese, but there are many other possible variations. Mozzarella, blue cheese and cheddar are also popular choices.

- I can''t wait for Obama to take a stand on the Olympics. He should just say me to. Hillary does not call for a boycott of the Olympics, just the Ceremonies. Oh and by the way, the Hospital story is true, but I can''t seem to find the report about it on MSNBC, FOX, CNN or ABC. Somehow that does''nt suprise me.

- And Clinton should answer questions about Mark Penn, including if he went to talk to the Columbians on behalf of his company or for her. She also answer why she claimed he was "fired" or "resigned" when he obviously did neither--he just got his job title rearranged.

- Although I support the Tibetan''s cause, I don''t agree with Hillary on this one.
The Olympics should transcend politics. I did not support Carter when he boycotted them in 1980, the Russians in 84, and I wouldn''t support any boycott by Bush today. - Reply to this comment
- No chance, Hillary. This guy "never met a photo op that he didn''t like." Besides, it would take personal courage and political independence on the part of the Cowardly Cowboy, two characteristics that are seldom found anywhere in Washington these days, and missing from the White house for 7 long years!

- brianbwb=I take you are now working in the obama campaign and are on this site to explain the empty suits "two minds". Is that anything like forked tongue?
So China has just now occupied Tibet, is that a fact? Geez, here I thought they were there for years.
Also, what about his one mind of speaking to and trying to get along with ALL countries? You know, having a diaglogue. What about that?
So now it seems that your party is going to make a political issue out of the Olypimcs and obama is of "two minds."
I tell you, brian, the man isn''t paying you enough, you''re good, really good. You can rationalize anything. - Reply to this comment
- With all the money the madame has taken from the chi coms over the years I would think she would be all for the games. The happy couple have to be making a bundle on them some some way.
Still nothing on her latest lie regarding the pregnant Ohio woman. Come on cbs, it''s all over other media outlets.
I thought soros was backing the empty suit so that you guys could really stick to the madame. I notice you aren''t publishing flattering photos of her anymore.
As for this latest non story, who gives a rat''s behind about the Olympics anyway.

- Like Bush really gives a rip,or anybody else for that matter.A wink at the Columbians on the trade agreement, and now a wink to her Chinese contributors on the Olympics.Geez, what a dirtbag. After Obama wins,he could really help our country if he would appoint her as an ambassador.Mars would be good,or the moon.Even some jerkwater country where nothing ever happens would be fine.

- "How can Obama be conflicted or of two minds on this? This worries me." Posted by ERoosevelt08
As long as America occupies Iraq, we have no right to speak of China.
This is why Mr. Obama is of two minds, He may very well be opposed to China''s Tibet policy on one hand, but how can he condemn a country that is doing to Tibet exactly what we are trying to do to Iraq?
His unwillingness to commit hypocrisy on that subject gives me a faint glimmer of hope that he just might see the world through more realistic and pragmatic glasses. - Reply to this comment
- Is Clinton also calling for U.S. Olympic teams to not attend the Olympics at all? It should be all or nothing. If she feels that the President shouldn''t attend Opening ceremonies then why should our teams attend and compete? That would truely be making a statement.

Speaking for myself, I prefer the Olympics not be held in China at all and would rather not see the president attend the opening ceremonies. But the fact China got the games will give them all the political benefits whether the president attends or not. So on this point I think what the president of the US dose or doesn%u2019t do is insignificant. China holds all of the cards on this one. - Reply to this comment
