Same old Bush/McCain supporters responding as usual with the same cut and paste that they use on most blogs about the dems race. No point in having original thoughts, just keep repeating the same talking points over and over. Scared to death that Obama will beat their man and McCain won''t be able to continue to destroy our country. Guess what? It won''t work this time. Obama has millions and millions of strong supporters and we''ve got his back.

elicatlover,

Rev. Wright''s comments about America were offensive and I think were also scripturally and historically wrong. I don''t see where they weren''t bigoted. Bigotry generally refers to prejudice against individuals and he didn''t attack people, he attacked the policies of the government.

I don''t agree that all Churches are equally involved in social action. If that were true we wouldn''t have the slums and homelessness to the degree that we do.

You certainly have a basis for criticizing the comments of Wright but there''s no basis for you to characterize the entire Congregation as bigots. Doing so makes you the bigot.

This Church is Not mainstream.
Hillary is too good to attack Obama on many points,
but the Republicans won''t be afraid to remind voters that among other things, this Church supports gay marriate.

elicatlover: 100% agreement on you posts. The members of Wrights church, including Obama and Michele do not see what is so bad about what Wright says. Obama only sees that it is not to his benefit to openly approve. Some will be duped by him because of his words, but I am old enough to know that actions are what counts.

People familiar with Trinity compare its emphasis on African culture to the way some Catholic churches play up Irish or Italian roots. And they emphatically reject the accusations in widely circulated e-mails that the church is separatist or turns away white members.

Thats bullshiz! Trinity does more then play up to it. They make Africa their top priority! Unshamefully black, do we say, unshamefully white. What are they trying to do, make us believe their lies, think again. Making excuses won''t work. Its racist in all sense. Catholics don''t just help out the white people they help out everyone. Not Trinity though, oh no, they only help out their brothers and sisters.

Jeremiah Wright and his disciple, Barack Obama believe that hope requires audacity. Jesus taught that it required humility--I realize humility is a virtue in short supply among any politician, since it also requires honesty. Edwards had more than any of the candidates, which I guess is why the media knocked him out first--and now they''re working on Hillary, since at least she has a little more than Obama. If she is denied the nomination, being much more experienced and competent than Obama, I will be forced to vote Republican for the first time--for McCain, the lesser of two evils.

Interesting that Barack Hussein broke down in tears after hearing the hate-filled bigot, Jeremiah Wright speak. Breaking down in tears brought down the candidacies of better candidates than B. Hussein Obama, but I guess he''s different--the media keeps the pillows and massages coming in for him, it seems

I am sick of hearing about Obama''s middle name. So what...it was more then likely given to him at birth and makes him no less of a person.

As far as leaving Trinity church...it is too late for Obama to leave now...he should have done it years ago. Those that claim the hateful cr@p that came out of Wright''s mouth are only sound bites....well, they are sound bites taken from videos made by Trinity Church. Do you you really think they would make videos of his worst sermons??? No they wouldn''t...they would pick his best sermons to put on video!! Which proves to me they agree with his negative views.

WHY IS THAT?

Let me clear something up. The exact words that Rev. Wright used was "God D*** America for killing innocent people." Now! what if Rev. wright had said - "Shame on you- America for killing innocent people? Would he be speaking the truth? Remember Dr. Martin Luther King was killed and he was innocent. Maybe it is not what he (Rev. Wright) said but rather how it was said - because if you believe that America has killed innocent people then Rev. Wright is speaking the truth. Unfortunately, Rev. Wright is speaking part of the truth. And the words he chose are coming from an angry man. A man who is still hung up in the Jim Crow era. He still remembers the pain that era has caused him. Obama is correct in stating that Rev. Wright must look at how far we have come as a nation and thank God for this milestone. Rev. Wright doesn''t hate he is angry. Rev. Wright should not carry this anger. He should talk about how far we have come and rejoice in everyones accomplishments!
