Hillary Clinton Vows Fight To Convention, Obama Picks Up Another Superdelegate
- So, it''''s okay for lil'''' missy to "misspoke" , but it''''s not okay for Obama while revealing the details of the airlifts from Africa? People sometimes forget minor details. Can you, if you were alive at the time, recall signifigant with 100& accuracy? Of course, not. So, give the man the benefit of the doubt here about exactly who was in charge and exactly what time thos airlifts actually begin.

lol, Was a purty speech in Selma wasn''t it. Not but one fact in the whole was accurate. His father came over here from Kenya. But it sounded good, didn''t it?
It''s the double standards in this race that is pathetic.
It would be different if Obama hadn''t lied about every other aspect of his politics, his legislative prowess, and his associations with his crooked and anti-American friends. - Reply to this comment

- Terrorist1: I hope the girl wins. Heard her idea of foreign policy is to coddle us and bake us treats on the White House kitchen stove.
Terrorist2: I hope the OLD man wins. He cannot even stay awake during critical intelligence briefings.
Terrorist3: Either of these two enhance our goals and overall mission. Bring on lil'' missy or grandpa. - Reply to this comment

Fact is, Sir, you know NOTHING about your candidate other than his race and gender!
No Mr. Obama has not served one day in military service to this country. He hasn''t a clue about military operations, or even how to salute!
Mr. Obama will have to do the same thing that HIllary has already stated what has to be done, and that''s call on the general to put together an exit plan for Iraq, and train special forces to attack any real terrorism in their strongholds without involving or depleting our total military defenses.
Your bigotry and bias is total ignorance, as is your support for this crooked liar! - Reply to this comment
- Gypsy1026,
First, I''m not trying hear any of that women''s movement stuff--save it for two lil'' footnotes in American History (first, Geraldine Ferraro, 1984; and Hillary Clinton, 2008)
Still haven''t had that first cup of coffee yet I see, so it''s understand you have to lash out at reality in the face of facts: America is involved in two, count them with me now, ONE WAR plus ONE WAR is TWO WARS. Those men and women deserve a Commander-in-Chief who knows how to equip them properly on the battlefield and how to welcome them home after they have served their country. With all the TALK about Lil'' Hillary''s experience on military matters due to her committee assignment in the US Senate, please remember that TALKING about management and administering strategy in the Armed service''s Committee is one thing and actually putting her cake mixing bowl down and doing it is altogether a different engagement. Remember, lil'' missy is no Dwight David Eisenhower.
Where I cannot speak to your questions about Obama''s military service or not, because you may be truthful in implying that he hasn''t served; however, when Mrs. Clinton was relaxing by a warm fireplace in Arkansas with her every need at her finger-tips, I was actually walking in the valley of the shadow of death, mission-- I believe Obama would do the same, because at least he won''t be baking a batch of brownies in the White House Kitchen when the Red Phone rings at 3am. - 4. Illegal immigration
In a March 2004 questionnaire, Obama was asked if the government should "crack down on businesses that hire illegal immigrants." He replied "Oppose." In a televised debate on January 31, he said that "we do have to crack down on those employers that are taking advantage of the situation."
5. Decriminalization of Marijuana
While running for the U.S. Senate in January 2004, Obama told Illinois college students that he supported eliminating criminal penalties for marijuana use. In the October 30, 2007 presidential debate, he joined other Democratic candidates in opposing the decriminalization of marijuana. - Reply to this comment

What''s Obama, the legislative genius done? He''s so hot in 36 months he should''ve at least had 10-12 bills passed already! ROFL! Named a post office! - Reply to this comment
- 2. Public Financing
Obama replied "yes" in September 2007 when asked if he would agree to public financing of the presidential election if his GOP opponent did the same. His spokesman now says that he never gave such a pledge, and Obama himself has attached several conditions, including regulating spending by outside groups.
3. The Cuba embargo
In January 2004, Obama said flatly that it was time "to end the embargo with Cuba," because it had "utterly failed in the effort to overthrow Castro." Speaking to a Cuban-American audience in Miami in August 2007, he said he would not "take off the embargo" as president because it was "an important inducement for change." - Reply to this comment

1. Special Interests
Back in January, the Obama campaign described union contributions to the Clinton and Edwards campaign as "special interest" money. He changed his tune as he went after union endorsements himself. He now refers respectfully to unions as the representatives of "working people" and says he is "thrilled" by their support. - Reply to this comment
- Obama''s Selma speech is misleading in a number of ways:
It implies that the airlifts of Kenyan students in 1959 and 1960 were somehow a response by the Kennedys to the bad image that America was getting around the world as a result of the civil rights protests in places like Selma and Birmingham. That is not the case. Mboya organized the airlifts as part of an effort to prepare his country for independence. Nearly 8,000 Americans had contributed money to the program by the time the Kennedys got involved.
Obama credits the Kennedys with bringing his father to America. The Kennedys did not fund the 1959 airlift.
Obama implies that he is somehow the product of the Selma events. As other bloggers have pointed out, the Selma march took place in 1965, four years after Obama''s birth. (The Obama campaign now says that he was referring to the civil rights movement in general, rather than the Selma protest in particular.)
A casual listener to Obama''s Selma speech could come away with the impression that he is the offspring of a mythical union between the Kennedys and the civil rights movement. - Reply to this comment
- Obama''s ''Camelot connection''
A reader, Gregory Gelembiuk of the University of Wisconsin, thought there was something strange about the story told by Barack Obama in his Selma speech last year, and asked me to look into it. Obama made similar comments at American University in January when he was endorsed by Ted and Caroline Kennedy.
Gelembiuk pointed out that the senator''s father, Barack Obama Sr., came to the United States to attend the University of Hawaii in 1959. But a Kennedy memo available on the Internet appears to show that the Kennedy family only became involved in the program in July 1960. So how could Obama credit the Kennedy family for bringing his father over to America?
The Facts
The chronology outlined by Obama in his Selma speech is extremely confused. The airlifts of African students to the United States were organized not by the Kennedy family, but by a charismatic Kenyan politician named Tom Mboya. - Reply to this comment
- McCain''''s camp has relentlessly questioned what Obama, 46, has done that has prepared him for the presidency.
"He really doesn''''t have any accomplishments. It''''s not a slight against Obama; he''''s only been in the Senate for a few years, and most of that time he was running for president,"

Who is McCain to question anyone on anything? He''s been in the Senate and house for DECADES and doesn''t have anything to show for it - and neither do we, THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!!! - Reply to this comment

- Blkpresident: A woman''s place IS in the home, Senate, and White House. A woman can do all of it. You must not want women in the military then, right. MEN Only??? Well, what branch of the Armed Services did YOU serve? In fact, what branch of the Armed Service did Obama serve? None, right? Obama has neither military service nor international experience. I challenge you to look up this website, the Senate Armed Services Committee. Senator Clinton serves on 3 subcommittees for the past 6 years. She has studied military strategy and contributed extensively to our military, and given extensive support, legislation, and yes, your favorite word......CHANGE in regards to the defense of our country, and impacted profoundly and positively the lives of the men, women and their families who serve our country. You might look that up and find out what she has been doing - - SENATE ARMED SERVICES COMMITTEE which qualifies her to be Commander in Chief. She has been endorsed by top military brass; not retired ones. It might interest you to know, that she travels internationally, along with John McCain who also serves on the SENATE ARMED SERVICES COMMITTEE. But you would know none of these facts because you have determined your choice of Obama for Pres, not because of qualifications, but gender and race preference. You might try supporting your candidates with facts, rather than racial and gender slurs. Do us all a favor and change your party affiliation to Republican.

- March 31 (Bloomberg) -- The parallels between Barack Obama and Michael Nutter are striking: bright, Ivy League educated, politically successful, relatively young African-Americans with a pragmatically progressive policy bent.( Obama to the U.S. Senate and Nutter elected as mayor of Philadelphia last year.)With Pennsylvania''s important presidential primary three weeks away, Nutter''s choice isn''t what you might expect: ``I talked to both the candidates about education, public safety, jobs, economic opportunity,'''' the mayor of America''s sixth- largest city recalls. ``I think Senator Clinton is the best to lead the country.''''

- melchg I agree most people do want to see the war end, but not surrender to those scum bags. I bet you have never served in the armed forces and most Americans want to end the war by winning. Most of the far out liberals would be happy to leave now and leave those Iraq people with a blood bath. We were not invited over there, but since we are we should finish the job. A poll taken by ABC news with the servicemen over there say they want to finish the job. In my work I talk to a lot of men that have been over there and they agree with me. They look at people like you as un-patrotic.

- Rowdy, you know as well as I do that "seating" the delegates isn''t the same thing as allowing their votes to count. You should be a spider, considering how good you are at spinning webs of deceit.
