Because they''re manipulating the vote! And they''re making millions in campaign ads, advertising for sensationalism, and because the Neocons don''t want to have to run against HIllary Clinton.

What this means is that Obama violates the central premise of his campaign. He takes money from lobbyists and pacs and then lies to the American people.

I don''t understand why the media isn''t picking up on the discrepancies between his words and actions.

Senator Obama chose to package himself as the candidate of "hope and change. He has falsely claimed, that he doesn''t take money from federal lobbyists and pacs. According to the LA Times and the Boston Globe:

"Obama created a network of lobbyist fundraising that is engineered by federal lobbyists who withdrew their registrations so they could knowingly help him maintain a pose of financial purity". "Independent campaign finance think tanks universally agree that this is simply a pose on his part, and is not genuine".

What this means is that Obama violates the central premise of his campaign. He takes money from lobbyists and pacs and then lies to the American people.

Can someone look at the FEC Web site and explain to me why Senator Obama is running ads in PA that indicate he doesn''t take money from energy corporations or PACs? http://query.nictusa.com/cgi-bin/can_give/P80003338

I see numerous contributions from PACs and one from Chesapeake Energy Corp. According to their Web site, they are the "largest independent producer and third-largest overall producer of natural gas in the United States."

Am I misunderstanding the Federal Election Commissions Web site or does it appear Senator Obama is "mis-speaking" in his ads?

Black President: You made a good point on the state of the union under President Eisenhower - you said, free of crime and welfare - so he had time to play golf. Yes, those were great years - - especially for Blacks. Blacks to the back of the bus, segregation, discrimination; maids, gardeners, black and white drinking fountains; freedom without rights. Yep, those were great years. He had had nothing to do but play golf. Good grief!! I hope your medical plan includes mental health counseling and anger management.

I do not think that any of the previous commentors have it right. It''s not about racism, or sexism. It''s about who is the best choice to be President. It''s about what is right for America. Women left the kitchen long ago and African Americans have not been slaves for some time. This is not the rhetoric America needs. The war in Iraq has to end. The economy needs to be fixed. Americans need healthcare. People need hope. Each person has to decide and vote for whom they think will bring our nation hope.

RowdyTexan2,

You''re such a good egg, bright and talented but still you waste it advocating for Lil'' Hillary. The only thing lil'' missy can clean up is her kitchen oven. Don''t forget to rotate the laundry and dust the living room while she''s at it. We are at war woman, Don''t you get it?

Gypsy1026,

Please don''t get the false notion that an OLD man (with all due rspect to Senator McCain)can handle the rigores of the presidency, especially when he will inherit two wars to manage. Unlike OLD man McCain, Obama will not need multiple daily naps; Obama doesn''t have a favorite "blankie"; nor would Obama be a good spokesman for geritol (we''ll leave all that to OLD man McCain). Where there''s a war or two to manage America needs a man with a strong and steady hand, NOT an OLD man with feeble and trembling hands. We certainly don''t need someone clad in an apron whose idea o foreign policy is to bake a batch of cookies for terrorist enemies either. Terrorist don''t respect or fear an apron.

As far as President Dwight David Eisenhower goes, sure, you''re right that he played a lot of golf; but, please don''t forget he also presided over a nation that was free of crime and welfare too. Also, unlike lil'' Hillary, President Eisenhower could manage two wars in his sleep. Hope lil'' missy finds her way back to her kitchen stove after PA. votes. She can don an apron and preside over her household cleaning projects. Leave the wars to men-folk, not an OLD man like McCain mind you, but a MAN nevertheless. Sorry ''bout your lil'' pipe dream missy Clinton about a woman (smirk) becoming president.

That''s the kind of macho MEN games pulled by these Neocon bustwards!

We don''t need anymore MEN beating the tom toms of war for greed!

Black President: If you feel so strongly about the war in Iraq, why are you supporting Obama? Seems to me that you would be supporting McCain and the Republican party. President Bush had war plans on the table prior to 9/11; 9/11 just helped him sell his war to the American people. I do notice that all of the people on this site who address you, keep their own honor by not replying with racial slurs as you reply with your constant degrading of women and Senator Clinton. I''ve suggested this before - - Join the Republicans; go vote for McCain. Obama''s race will do nothing for you. What do you expect to gain with a Black President? As far as Eisenhower.... He was not a great president; all he did was play golf.

Gypsy1026,

Both our Democratic candidates can learn plenty from President Bush''s manner in dealing with terrorist. We cannot afford to coddle them and leave ourselves open for future attacks, so make no mistake about this, just because President Bush finally gets an opportunity for some R & R doesn''t mean the terrorist magically disappear. It''s important that the next president doesn''t nap through critical intelligence briefings due to old age or present a foreign policy that is soft and weak(offers of brownies and cookies from the White House kitchen stove). America can do better than missy and grandpa.
