Obama Says McCain Has "Sit Back And Watch" Approach To Economic Troubles
- There comes a time when you have to put away the weapons of war my friend. Clinton is beaten.. there''''s no way she can get the nod. We have ONE man out there right now who has the support and ability to unite this nation AND bring in a NEW economic plan, that''''s Obama. It''''s time we all understood that the country and our way of life in hanging in the balance here. Mr. Bush has really made a royal mess of things and we, all of us, have to clean it up.

CBS reported last night on their latenight program that party bigwigs, and not just Richardson, and a growing number of average democrats calling for her to get out of the race. She''s really starting to **** some people off that count now.Shouldn''t be too long.I couldn''t sleep,LOL - Reply to this comment
- Obama has a Jewish problem, whether or not it''''s merely guilt by association is irrelevant. Politics is about perception, and the perception is that Obama''''s one step removed from the Nation of Islam. If he wants to get the anti-Semitic stench of Trinity United off his campaign, it''''s going to take more

- Only Clinton has the brains, work ethic and experience we need ASAP to get us out of the huge messes that await the next President. What do Democrats do when they finally have a uniquely qualified, experienced candidate?
They go for a big unknown, inexperienced guy who copies almost all of Clinton''''s policies and gives a great speech. And it doesn''''t seem to matter that he doesn''''t hold his own life to the same standards as his well crafted speeches. It is truly mind boggling.

- PEOPLE WITH NOTHING TO HIDE DONT USUALLY HIDE !!
Why wont Hillary release her tax returns? If Hillary can loan 5 million dollars to her campaign then surely the voters have a right to know the source of her funding.
The main excuse we''ve gotten so far is that Hillary Clinton just has too much on her plate. "I''m a little busy right now," she said during the Ohio debate. "I hardly have time to sleep. But I will certainly work toward releasing, and we will get that done and in the public domain."
That was three weeks ago. Two weeks ago, Howard Wolfson promised the returns would be released "on or around April 15." But weren''t the returns completed and filed a long time ago? Doesn''t Clinton''s accountant have time to print them out and make some copies (note to Clinton''s accountant: many Kinko''s are open 24 hours).
In short, it''s well past time for Hillary Clinton to be as "vetted" as she claims to already be -- and to have this vetting done now by Democratic voters rather than later by GOP hit squads. She needs to live up to the standard she laid out for Rick Lazio, the opponent in her 2000 Senate race. At that time, she hypocritically said it was "FRANKLY DISTURBING" that Lazio was holding back on releasing his tax returns and she even sent a staffer dressed as Uncle Sam to taunt him during campaign stops.
What a difference eight years -- and tens of millions of dollars (some of them from questionable Arab deals) -- can make. - Reply to this comment
- HILLARY CLINTON - READY TO LIE ON DAY ONE !!!!
First she denies that she was pro NAFTA. White House schedules have now been released, showing she held several high profile meetings to endorse NAFTA.
Second she tells outright lies about her bullet dodging trip to Bosnia.
The big problem for Hillary is that the American people know how easily the Clintons lie. Taking a leaf from Bill she will say: Well, it depends on how you define "sniper fire" and "ran". And then we will hear her say I DID NOT HAVE MILITARY RELATIONS WITH THAT SNIPER.
Misspeaking is one thing, repeating it over and over makes it a FLAT LIE !!
She cannot win the Democratic nomination without causing a civil war in the Democratic Party. Her recent actions, especially comparing herself to, and praising, McCain while undermining Obama, make it appear that she is willing to do just that -- split the party in two. Seriously, can you imagine McCain saying that that he had a lifetime of experience, Hillary had a lifetime of experience, but Romney didn''t? That would never happen. It''s unacceptable. And it has to stop.
I get that it sucks to lose. But, it happens. Hillary, drop out with your head up high. Unless of course you''re ducking sniper fire again - Reply to this comment
- McVET is a reflection of the past, a die hard republican who believes as I do about what real Americans want from their government and or elected officials.
He tells things like it is ! God bless him, keep it up McVet....

- How can anyone sit in a church where the minister says, for instance, that the U.S. government invented the AIDS virus to kill blacks? Obama may have been too young or too naive at some point along his 20-year relationship with Wright, but eventually, shouldn''''t the man who became an Illinois state senator and then a U.S. senator and then a presidential contender have spoken up before he was forced to? - - http://www.realclearpolitics.com/article

How can anyone sit in a meeting with a group that professes a party for the WHITE RACE? That''s the group that Lott and the Congressmen from Georgia made speeches to and accepted the backing of. I mean if you want to play those games the Republican''s have a lot more to loose! Sieg Heil Bush - Reply to this comment

- 28% of Clintons supporters say they would cross over and vote for McCain rather than Obama. 18% of Obama''''s supports would do the same.
PRINCETON, NJ -- A sizable proportion of Democrats would vote for John McCain next November if he is matched against the candidate they do not support for the Democratic nomination. This is particularly true for Hillary Clinton supporters, more than a quarter of whom currently say they would vote for McCain if Barack Obama is the Democratic nominee.

Oh PLEASE!! Wouldn''t you feel betrayed and mad as hell against those you''d been in competition with for all these months? These are COMPETATIVE Human Beings here people! This IS not the Republican Party and not a bunch of follow along losers... of course they will say that now. By November though, their minds will have changed and you can bank on it. Geeeezzzz! I''m 60 years old and have been through a LOT of these. This is NOT the democrat party of Ted Kennedy and Jimmy Carter, things are just a wee bit different today than then. - I don''''t know what money Mr. Obama thinks he''''s going to use to solve the economic crisis. He says he''''ll save money by eliminating the Iraq war.! But good God, we''''re already trillions in debt for the Iraq war and will be paying it off for 30 years! Again, my question is what money is he going to use?

Now come on! You think this "Trickle Down" garbage is going to work? How many times do we try this insane economic plan before we accept the fact it''s a complete and absolute failure. McSame says he''s going to continue the same failed policy, Obama say''s we need to take on the Clinton type policy. Duh?? One produced 8 years of prosperity like none we''ve seen in a long long time, a Balanced Budget AND a surplus CLINTON wanted to us to pay back Social Security. It''s time to put the knives away folks.. it''s time we started thinking about America. The Republican''s and their policies have been a complete FAILURE!! - Reply to this comment
- Being so closely associated with(and therefore influenced by) someone who says things like "God d**n America" can hardly be called a mere "distraction." Rather, it is very telling about that person''''s true values and beliefs.

It would appear to me that YOU should be more concerned about things that really matter, like this Economy of this nation going right down the tubes. It''s time to get serious here and some old black minister IS not going to make or break our economy. Another 4 years of Trickle Down will. I''m sorry you freaks can''t get over your attitude about race and I''m sorry you feel you must USE this against Obama but right now WE''D better be thinking about putting food on the table there sparky. Obama is exactly right, McSame hasn''t a clue about the economy or what to do about it. Sieg Heil Bush - Reply to this comment
- "John McCain has admitted he doesn''t understand the economy as well as he should, and yesterday he proved it in giving a speech on the housing crisis," Obama told an auditorium of supporters.
McCain will have to do the same thing you do, Mr. Obama, engage the experts and put together a plan.
