McCain%u2019s Iraq victory speech interrupted by reports of violence in Iraq

By: SilentPatriot

While giving one of his standard %u201Cwe%u2019re winning in Iraq%u2026I don%u2019t care what you say%u201D speeches today, Senator McCain was interrupted by MSNBC with some breaking news of violence from that country. Turns out Muqtada al-Sadr, whose cease-fire agreement was a major component to the declining violence, has decided he doesn%u2019t want to play nice anymore, with forces loyal to him clashing with Iraqi forces in Southern Iraq, leading to at least 50 deaths and 120 wounded.

I can%u2019t think of a more appropriate (although depressing) way to call McCain out on his BS.

Obama thinks the solution to every problem is to take more money from ME. Sorry, but that''s just not a very good campaign pledge.

The Tide Continues to Turn Towards Obama

A new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released Wednesday evening strongly indicates that the 2008 Democratic presidential campaign of Sen. Hillary Clinton is losing much of whatever steam it''s been managing to previously hold onto. Conversely, Sen. Barack Obama, in the wake of the Rev Jeremiah Wright and Bosnia controversies, has managed to gain appreciable momentum. HillaBamaDramaRama continues.

The poll was conducted Monday and Tuesday, and compares the results from March 12th. Below are the poll''s key findings.

-Negatives: Clinton has jumped to 48% from 43%. Her negative rating is now bigger than her positive (37%). By contrast, Obama''s negative rating sits at 32% against his 49% positive. He was previously at 51% positive/28% negative

Nice to see the Democrats attacking someone else. They will cause a split in the Party if the rift continues McCain will be the only victor.

It always frosts me when you hear politicans throwing financial incentives around. Providing tax breaks to businesses that want to move out of a state or the country, provide rebates in the billions to stimulate the economy, to spend billions to bail out the sub prime loan mess, etc. Howabout getting off your collective backsides and establishing a fair and equitable tax burden to begin with - every time you offer a bail out screams "we overpicked your pocket so here''s some back" - fix it once and for all!!!!

I wonder why there is not more editorial critique of the two democratic candidates that continuously talk about the "Government" buying back the mortgages or the "Government" bailing out the mortgagees with new lower interest loans.

We are the "government" so what these candidates are saying is that "you and I" need to bail out both those ignorant enough to spend more than they can afford, or greedy enough to lend money at an interest rate so high that the ignorant have to default on the loans thus leaving the greedy lender with with abandoned property on which "surprise" they are responsible for payment of property taxes which they can not afford.

What it all boils down to is the two democratic candidates are asking legitimate tax paying citizens to fund "Gambling" on the part of both the ignorant and the greedy. Obama tells the ignorant and the greedy he will spend 10 Billion dollars and fix the problem. Clinton tells the ignorant and the greedy she will top that and spend 30 Billion dollars to fix the problem.

When are the news media going to wake up and tell the American people the truth. Ignorant and greedy people need to loose their homes and their money so the prudent, hard working, taxpaying MIDDLE CLASS citizens can keep what they earn.

I agree with every thing you said except the end. It is much too late for Hillary to leave with her head high. She has gone so far overboard trying to capture this particular nomination she is damaged goods and will never be embraced by the party for future presidential elections - she''s not only done for 2008, but done for good by her own accord.

so badly. LOL The Republican Party can''''t get it done, we already know that so why trash the other two, if you are a fascist and bootlicker? The ONLY answer is you don''''t care about America... it''''s all about keeping the Party in Power. We have RECORD deficits and RECORD Debt, this from a Balanced Budget and Surplus. Any Party and any Leader who is THAT incompetent shouldn''''t be elected Dog Catcher. Sieg Heil Bush

HILLARY CLINTON - READY TO LIE ON DAY ONE !!!!

First she denies that she was pro NAFTA. White House schedules have now been released, showing she held several high profile meetings to endorse NAFTA.

Second she tells outright lies about her bullet dodging trip to Bosnia.

The big problem for Hillary is that the American people know how easily the Clintons lie. Taking a leaf from Bill she will say: Well, it depends on how you define "sniper fire" and "ran". And then we will hear her say I DID NOT HAVE MILITARY RELATIONS WITH THAT SNIPER.

Misspeaking is one thing, repeating it over and over makes it a FLAT LIE !!

She cannot win the Democratic nomination without causing a civil war in the Democratic Party. Her recent actions, especially comparing herself to, and praising, McCain while undermining Obama, make it appear that she is willing to do just that -- split the party in two. Seriously, can you imagine McCain saying that that he had a lifetime of experience, Hillary had a lifetime of experience, but Romney didn''t? That would never happen. It''s unacceptable. And it has to stop.

I get that it sucks to lose. But, it happens. Hillary, drop out with your head up high. Unless of course you''re ducking sniper fire again

Yeah, Hillary is uninspiring. She lies sometimes too. Her forign policy experience kind of a joke, that hand holding session with the wives in Ireland. But Barack is worse. Be careful what you wish for.

What''s up with Hillary''s clapping thing on stage? Almost like she is trying to hypnotize her audience. It is very creepy...and it smells of looking down at her audience.

How could Hillary misspeak in prepared statements. She claimed running across the tarmac?

There was a sign as we left the wire in Iraq that said, "Keep the drama out of combat." Hillary, keep the drama our of Bosnia. Why did you bring that up? And if it was a misspeak what does that say about you competence. It says you are a drama person who has no place even near the oval office.

There are lots of good female Gov''s out there that could be good presidents someday. So if people are voting for Hillary just because she is a woman can I suggest they wait until a woman who made it on their own rather then their husband''s.

"In California on Tuesday, McCain said he wants to leave the door open to an array of proposals to address the problems and seemed to suggest he might even be open to solutions that stray from the GOP line."

Oh great, another ''Decider'' just like Bush who has to have solutions laid out for him simplistically like you''d lay out a choice of ''garanimals'' for a kid learning how to get dressed in the morning. **** . . . this guy really has no more clue than King George, does he? Geez . . .

While Hillary''s campaign is working behind the scenes to remove her out to lunch demeanor Wild Bill comes out of the shadows firing after rejuvenating on pot, & crack, chirping An ready for battle am I. Why this is fun & we''re just warming up. Show me more money, more marijuana, and where''s my medicine. So sad Bill - you had you''re chance to show the American People & Our Troops The Real Heroes just how brave you were in their time of need.

REMEMBER - The Clinton Clash!

tbweb said, "Every Political expert agrees that the only way Sen. Clinton can win the Democratic nomination now..."
---
Hillary Clinton''s plan for the nomination is "primary-proof", and the primaries are actually the lesser of her two campaigns.

Clinton''s original campaign began long before the 2008 primaries-- Clinton attempted to seal her nomination by working the party officialdom for support.

Clinton had plenty of influence to wield. Since the Clintons work through an old-fashioned patronage system, they had many of Bill''s political IOUs to call upon in the party hierarchy.

Consequently, the Democratic superdelegates may constitute a secret plurality for the Clinton camp. No superdelegate is bound to reveal his choice.

This produces an extremely charged atmosphere for the Democratic national convention. With both Obama and Clinton campaigning for more democracy in the nation''s political business, political "machine politics" supposedly has become a dirty word-- or has it?

What part will party superdelegates play at the convention?
