A wartime president who has no real allies and whose own military is too small to achieve such lofty goals should begin to scale back his rhetoric so that it has at least a patina of plausibility. By defining victory in Iraq as an outcome that lays %u201Cthe foundations for peace for generations to come,%u201D George W. Bush ensures that defeat is nearly inevitable.

All the while, of course, John McCain insists that he will deliver more of the same.

HILLARY CLINTON - READY TO LIE ON DAY ONE !!!!

First she denies that she was pro NAFTA. White House schedules have now been released, showing she held several high profile meetings to endorse NAFTA.

Second she tells outright lies about her bullet dodging trip to Bosnia.

The big problem for Hillary is that the American people know how easily the Clintons lie. Taking a leaf from Bill she will say: Well, it depends on how you define "sniper fire" and "ran". And then we will hear her say I DID NOT HAVE MILITARY RELATIONS WITH THAT SNIPER.

Misspeaking is one thing, repeating it over and over makes it a FLAT LIE !!

She cannot win the Democratic nomination without causing a civil war in the Democratic Party. Her recent actions, especially comparing herself to, and praising, McCain while undermining Obama, make it appear that she is willing to do just that -- split the party in two. Seriously, can you imagine McCain saying that that he had a lifetime of experience, Hillary had a lifetime of experience, but Romney didn''t? That would never happen. It''s unacceptable. And it has to stop.
I get that it sucks to lose. But, it happens. Hillary needs to get over it and bow out gracefully without destroying the Democratic Party

Ms. Clinton should expect to answer questions like the one she disregarded. Whether the question was appropriate is not the issue, the issue is this 30-year-old woman is campaigning for her mother, and refuses to answer questions from the media. As a former newspaper journalist, I am astonished that the media is handling this young woman with kid gloves, going so far as to turn off cameras at her request. The news media should continue to cover her, continue to ask her questions, and refuse to bow down to her requests to be treated any differently than any other child campaigning for a parent running for president of the united states. she''s a big girl now, if she doesn''t want to answer a question, she doesn''t have to. but she doesn''t deserve to be treated any differently than someone else who puts his/herself out there as a public figure.

What a silly question; when are we going to grow up in this country? Our economy in the toilet, food and gas prices going through the roof, public schools failing, we''re engaged in two wars, our infrastructure is in a shambles, lack of affordable health care for all Americans, homelessness and a soft job market and I should care about someone, even if that someone is Bill Clinton getting a BJ?

I don''t know or care who the questioner supports politically, but I would think a college student would ask a question that really mattered in today''s world. There are a lot of things that I don''t believe are my business and I think Miss Clinton answered the question appropiately.

How many of us have to answer for some of the stupid things that our parents, children or loved ones have done.
